Story
IDGSR Welcomes DAKOTA into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN MASSACHUSETTS ************** Hi there! My name is Dakota and I am VERY handsome. I’m a German Shepherd - Labrador mix with the beautiful black and tan Shepherd coloring but have extra cute floppy ears. I’ll be 6 years old on September 1 and I am SUPER well behaved!! No puppy nonsense with me! I’m fully housebroken and crate trained, and I know a whole bunch of words like sit, down, lay down, come, in, out, wait, no, OK, paw, eat, off, treat, drink, water, go see (what’s outside), let me see you (when mom wants to check me over), let’s go and back (that’s a hard one!). So I’m super smart, listen well and am VERY well behaved. You’re not gonna find a smarter dog than me! On top of ALL that, I’m friendly with people, dogs and even cats! Well, I’m really indifferent to the cats. I’d rather play with my people and dogs. I love to go on adventures, play tug, and go anywhere and everywhere you go. I’m very loyal and loving. So if you don’t want to deal with all that puppy nonsense and are looking for a VERY handsome gentleman who listens well, is loving and friendly to everyone, then I’m your guy!!! Story
IDGSR Welcomes TONY into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is Tony and I'm an handsome 1.5yr old male German Shepherd. I am located near the Greeneville, Tennessee area and am available for transport to my forever home! Here are some fun facts about me & my ideal home! 1. I was found as a stray and brought to a shelter where no one wanted to adopt me. Thankfully IDGSR welcomed me and promised to help me find a great home! 2. I'm young, we guess my age to be about 1-2yrs old. I have nice shiny white teeth so that tells my foster mom I'm a young'n! 3. I get along great with other doggos and would love to have one to play with when I'm adopted! 4. I'm seeking a person or family who will treat me like a king, give me lots of belly rubs, yummy treats, take me on adventures, and let me cuddle up on the couch! 5. My favorite activities include exploring in the yard, sniffing individual blades of grass, playing 'stop drop and roll' (see my pictures), listing to pop music, and trying to trick the hoomans into giving me treats with my puppy eyes. 6. I'm a smart guy but could use some refreshers in obedience training. I'm eager to please & by training together, it will help us bond & prove to everyone I'm the smartest pup on the block! IDGSR Welcomes LORELLE into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN MARYLAND & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hi Y’all! My name is Lorelle and I am a beautiful reddish 1.5-2yr female German Shepherd. I am currently at a 4-week board & train program with Mason Dixon K9 in Maryland. Once I finish my training, I will be available for transport! Be sure to check out Mason Dixon K9 on Facebook to see all of my amazing progress! I am learning all sorts of basic & advanced obedience training. When I complete the program, I will be the best behaved gal! Here are some fun facts about me & my ideal home! 1. I’m a great car rider, friendly, have a lot of energy, and would be a great adventure partner! 2. I’m a sporty gal, I would love to go swimming, take hikes, explore new places, go on trail runs, take neighborhood walks, go camping - really anything that’s active and fun! 3. I’m smart and need someone who will help me harness my big girl energy. 4. My ideal home has a large fenced in yard for me to play in, someone who will keep me active & continue some ongoing training, and most importantly it has a person or family who will love me unconditionally! 5. My ideal home would be me as the only dog. If you are a strong dog handler & completely understand proper introductions and handling German Shepherds, I would be okay with a large male dog. Absolutely *no* cats or small dogs/kids. 6. Some of my favorite activities include being a taking trips to the dog bakery for a treat, watching the Travel Channel dreaming of all kinds of fun adventures, listening to 80s music, and perfecting my puppy eyes so my foster mom gives me whatever I want!
