Story
Meet Brownie! 👑🐾 Brownie is a 1½-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix who is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her! ❤️ And honestly… she may have a point. 😉 Brownie’s story began when someone found her as a puppy in South Texas in horrible condition. She was covered in fleas and ticks, frightened, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, her finders took her in and gave her a chance. But as Brownie grew, so did her puppy energy. Her family realized they weren’t prepared for the energy and needs of a young dog and considered taking her to the pound. Rather than allow this sweet girl to face an uncertain future, they chose to surrender her to a wonderful sanctuary where she would be safe. Brownie has now been at the sanctuary for seven months, and sadly, no one has chosen her yet. And it’s absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 Brownie is a wonderful girl who is ready for a family that will appreciate her big personality, give her plenty of love, and keep her busy with all the things she enjoys. 👑 Meet the Diva Brownie is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and definitely knows what she wants! She is a vocal girl and will happily let you know when something doesn’t meet her very high Queen Brownie standards. 😂 Does she like something? She’ll tell you. Does she NOT like something? Oh, you’ll definitely hear about that too! She has a wonderfully expressive personality and a funny little diva streak that will keep her family laughing. Brownie loves attention and firmly believes that she should be the center of yours. ❤️ 🐕 Dog Friendly Brownie loves other dogs and would be perfectly happy sharing her home with another canine companion. That said, she would also be completely fine as your one-and-only dog. As long as she has her people, plenty of attention, and opportunities to play, Brownie is happy. 👧 Great with Kids Brownie would do well with children and would love having kids around to play with and shower her with attention. 🐱 Cats Brownie has not yet been formally cat-tested, but given her sweet and social demeanor, we believe she may do well with cats. A proper introduction and supervision would, of course, be important. 🏡 Working on Her House Manners Brownie is crate-trained and is currently working on mastering her house training. She’s a smart young girl who just needs a family willing to continue helping her learn. With patience, consistency, and a regular routine, Brownie should continue making great progress. 🥾 An Active Girl Looking for an Active Family Brownie has energy to burn and would love a family who enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and outdoor activities. She enjoys her walks and would do wonderfully with regular neighborhood walks. She also loves playing with toys and would be thrilled to have a family who wants to spend time playing with her. She even likes trying to catch birds! 🐦😂 Don't worry—we don't let her! Brownie would love a family that will keep her body active and her mind engaged while also giving her plenty of affection and attention. ❤️ Why Brownie? Because underneath that hilarious diva personality is a really sweet girl who just wants to be loved. Brownie has already been through so much. She started life scared, covered in fleas and ticks, and unsure of what the future held. She was given a second chance, but after seven months at the sanctuary, she's still waiting for someone to look past her big personality and realize what a wonderful companion she could be. She doesn't need to be perfect. She just needs someone who will love her for exactly who she is—the energetic, affectionate, vocal, playful, slightly demanding, absolutely adorable Queen Brownie. 👑❤️ Brownie is ready for a family who will take her on adventures, play with her toys, take her for walks, give her all the attention she believes she deserves, and most importantly, love her forever. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic Shepherd mix with a big personality and even bigger heart, Brownie may be your girl. 🐾❤️ Seven months is far too long to wait for a forever family. Story
Sassie is a 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Belgian Shepherd mix. I originally took Sassie in from a neighbor who was no longer able to care for her, and she quickly became a very special part of my life. Unfortunately, my schedule has become too busy to consistently give her the active lifestyle and time she deserves.Sassie is:• Affectionate, energetic, and incredibly loyal• Crate-trained and comfortable staying in her crate• Attached to her person and forms very strong bonds• In need of regular walks, exercise, and structureShe loves being around her person and sometimes won’t even eat until I’m home. She does bark and become reactive when she sees other dogs, so she would benefit from someone patient who is willing to continue working with her on this. I want to find her a loving, responsible home with someone who understands her needs and will give her the time she needs.💰 Rehoming fee: $300

🐾 Meet Our Pointy-Eared Puppy Crew! 🐾 Six beautiful 7-month-old puppies are looking for their forever homes! ❤️ This adorable litter of six — five girls and one boy — was born around mid-February 2026. They are all approximately 35 lbs and we believe they will grow to around 50 lbs full grown. 💕 Meet the Pack Girls: • Alexis • Sissy • Cookie • Bella • Kenzie Boy: • Mac Their mom is a purebred German Shepherd, and their dad is unknown but is believed to be a Husky/Lab mix. And let's talk about those EARS! 👂😂 Every single puppy has super pointy ears — guaranteed to get better signal and service than some cell phone companies! 🐶 How They Came to Be Their beautiful mom was found pregnant while roaming the streets of South Texas. Thankfully, a wonderful Good Samaritan took her in, and she was able to safely have these gorgeous babies in a loving environment. Now these puppies are ready for families of their own! ❤️ Personality Plus! These pups are friendly, affectionate, curious, loyal, and incredibly loving. They absolutely adore people and love being part of the action. Their favorite activities include: • 🧸 Playing with toys and stuffed animals • 🐕 Chasing and wrestling with their puppy siblings • 💦 Playing in the water • 🙈 Playing hide-and-seek with each other • ❤️ Getting lots of pets • 🐾 Exploring and being curious • 🛋️ Getting belly rubs — their absolute favorite! They are active puppies with energy that keeps on going! They love to run, play, explore, and have fun. Mac and Alexis are the calmer two, while the others tend to be a little more energetic. But make no mistake — they're all still very much puppies! 🐕 They LOVE Other Dogs! All six pups get along wonderfully with other dogs and would absolutely love a home with a friendly canine sibling to play with. If you don't currently have another dog, we strongly recommend regular doggy daycare, playdates, or other opportunities for safe socialization and play. These babies thrive when they have plenty of exercise and companionship. 👧👦 Great Family Dogs These puppies are loving and social and we believe they would do wonderfully with children, provided everyone is taught appropriate and respectful interactions. They are loyal little souls who want nothing more than to be loved, included, and part of a family. 🎓 Ready to Learn! They haven't had much formal training yet, but don't let that fool you — these puppies are very smart! With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, plenty of exercise, and an amazing family, these babies have so much potential and will flourish in their new forever homes. They're curious. They're playful. They're loving. They're loyal. They're goofy. And those ears? Absolutely priceless. 😂❤️ These six sweet babies have so much love to give. Now all they need are families who are ready to give them the forever homes they deserve. Story
Meet Oso! 🐾❤️ Oso is a 2-year-old, 56-pound Shepherd/Rottweiler mix—and behind that serious face is the sweetest, gentlest boy you could ever meet. Oso has been at a sanctuary in South Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border, since he was a tiny puppy. He arrived at just 8 weeks old with his siblings, Cowboy, Roxy, and Buddy. And sadly, the reason Oso is still waiting isn't because there is anything wrong with him. It's because the humans who promised to help him failed him. About 22 months ago, a rescue asked the sanctuary to take Oso and his three siblings into care, promising to financially support them and take them on the next transport. Then the rescue delayed. And delayed. And delayed. They never provided a dime toward their care before ultimately disappearing completely when the puppies were about five months old. Then another rescue stepped in and tagged Oso and his siblings. Everyone thought their luck had finally changed. But just six weeks later, that rescue ghosted them too. The sanctuary begged for help. Nobody stepped up. And through absolutely no fault of their own, Oso and his siblings grew up in a sanctuary instead of growing up in forever homes. Oso could have been home with his family almost two years ago. Two rescues took that opportunity away from him. Now, we're stepping in to help make sure Oso and his siblings finally get the futures they deserve. ❤️ 🐻 Meet Oso Oso may be the biggest of his litter, but don't let his size or serious expression fool you. Give this boy a little love and he transforms into the gentlest giant. ❤️ He's sweet, affectionate, playful, and incredibly food motivated. He loves playing with his kennel mate and would really enjoy having another dog in his forever home. Oso would also benefit from regular opportunities to socialize and play with other dogs through dog parks or doggy daycare if he doesn't have a canine sibling. 👧 Older Children Oso would do best with older children because of his size and playful nature. He's a sweet boy, but he's a big boy who can get excited during playtime! 🧸 Toy Lover Oso LOVES toys. And apparently, Oso also believes toys are meant to be thoroughly tested for durability. Many toys don't last very long around him! 😂 A future Oso family may want to invest in some seriously tough toys—or simply accept that toy shopping is going to become a regular hobby. 💦 Oso Loves Water! If your idea of a perfect day involves splashing around, Oso wants in! He loves water and would absolutely enjoy having a pool in the backyard or taking trips to dog-friendly bodies of water where he can play. A family that enjoys outdoor adventures would be a fantastic match for him. 💃 The Oso Tap Dance Oso has a very special talent. He tap dances when it's time to eat. This big boy gets SO excited about food and treats that his feet apparently can't stay still! You may want to invest in a pair of tap shoes because Oso is ready to put on a show every time dinner is served. 😂🐾 And once his meal is finished, don't be surprised if he has another little performance planned... If Oso is still hungry, he'll sometimes cross his paws as if to politely say: “Excuse me. I believe there has been a small error. I appear to still be hungry.” 😂 It's possibly the most adorable and proper complaint you'll ever receive. 🏡 House Manners Oso is crate-trained and mostly house-trained, giving him a great foundation as he transitions into his forever home. He's ready for a family who will continue helping him learn and settle into all the wonderful things that come with being someone's beloved dog. ❤️ Oso's Perfect Home Oso would love a family who can give him: • A canine sibling or regular opportunities to play with other dogs • Plenty of toys • Lots of affection and cuddles • A yard where he can run and play • Opportunities to enjoy water • Walks, adventures, and outdoor enrichment • A comfortable place to relax after playtime • Older children who understand how to interact respectfully with a big dog • And, naturally, plenty of treats! 🦴 • Oso would thrive with a family that wants a dog who can be playful and silly one minute, then curl up and be a gentle giant the next. 🐾 The Sweetest Boy Has Been Waiting Oso has spent almost his entire life waiting for someone to choose him. He didn't deserve to grow up in a sanctuary. He didn't deserve to be forgotten by two rescues. And he certainly didn't deserve to miss out on almost two years of having a family of his own. But somehow, through all of it, Oso remained the same sweet boy. The same gentle giant. The same playful pup who gets ridiculously excited about dinner. The same boy who loves toys, water, other dogs, and being around people. He's still waiting. And now it's finally his turn. If you're looking for a big, sweet, playful Shepherd/Rottweiler mix with a gentle heart, a love of water, an impressive toy-destroying ability, and the cutest little tap-dance routine at mealtime, Oso may be your guy. ❤️ He has waited long enough for his forever. It's time for Oso to have a family of his own. 🐾❤️ And please—someone get this boy some tap shoes. 💃🐾 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This doggy is spayed/neutered, heart worm positive, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
