Meet Flowy!! 🌸 Flowy was rescued by Dorothy Rescue right before he was about to be euthanized in high-kill shelter. Flowy is such a sweet, calm, patient and a lovely Jindo mix girl who loves people. Behaviours from Foster Home : Flowy is such a sweet and a gentle angel girl who loves people :) Flowy's foster mom says that Flowy is the most patient girl she's ever seen. Flowy has so much love in her beautiful soul. She is good with other doggie friends. She has high interest in cat friends, she will definitely follow them if she sees cat friends. She will give her loving eyes to all the people she meets. She definitely loves to be with people :D She is great with bathing, brushing and she has a great walking manner. She only pees and poopls outside. She likes to keep things clean in the house. She is well kennel-trained and She has no separation anxiey and no barking issue. She is also great in the car ride! :D She is also very calm even at the vet! She loves her hooman's gentle touch, pine cones and treats. She is such a sweet, gentle, funny and a lovely girl! Puffin is back on the market and looking for the right fit! This smart active girl has a lot of great qualities going for her:*The perfect size at under 45lbs full grown.*Very smart! Too smart actually, she craves structure and enjoys training and learning new commands and tricks and puzzle toys to keep her mind busy. *She was housebroken and crate-trained in her previous home*Loyal to a fault. Once she connects with her person she makes it her life's purpose to please them and keep them safe.*Likes car rides and loves hikes in quiet areas. And at first glance people will think she's some kind of dingo or wild dog if you run into anyone while alone in the woods with her. She looks like a mini shepherd/cattle dog type mix, but her DNA reveals she's actually 50% pittie, 42% husky, and only 8% German Shepherd. But the shepherd personality is definitely dominant: if you love shepherd but want a smaller sized dog she's perfection.She does have her challenges that makes her stay in the shelter particularly stressful for her, and we would really love for her to get into a home environment again as soon as possible. She gets reactive meeting other dogs and "puffs up" all the hair down her back like a hyena, barking and trying to scare them away. It's all out of fear, and she has had a dog friend or 2 in the past once slowly and properly introduced, so might be able to live with the right submissive male buddy with a few careful intros. But overall has been working to learn to ignore dogs on walks which is extra difficult in the shelter being surrounded by dogs she's afraid of all day long. She's also nervous and timid with new people and needs time to assess if she wants you as a friend. She does accept bribes of cheese and chicken if you really want to get on her good side fast. But she's better in a calmer adult home where she can be introduced slowly to regular visitors and doesn't want to be the life of the party. Adults only, fast movements and kids grabbing would make her too nervous. She's quickly becoming a staff and volunteer favorite with her gentle nature and intelligence and we know she has potential to be someone's very best friend in the right home! She bonds very quickly and is a total velcro dog Definitely no kitties or smaller animals, but she might like a big doggie brother with proper introductions. She's been friendly with all staff and volunteers at the shelter, but does need someone who understands shepherds and their potential for protective tendencies and training needs. Crate-training and getting her accustomed to one is a must as she learns house manners living in a real home for the first time. Meet staff and volunteer favorite Chance! This big "young senior" shepherd is a smart playful mushy guy, gentle and loving with people and craves attention. He loves his long walks and hikes and playing fetch in our fenced yards, and just hanging out leaning on you for pets. Chance clearly had a tough life was abandoned covered in old scars and suffering from a horrific abscess on his ear from years of chronic untreated infections. He's healed nicely although still needs regular ear cleanings and periodic treatments longterm. Otherwise he's in great health, a vibrant strong healthy guy.
