Hi, I`m Delgado!If you`re looking for a handsome best friend with a heart of gold and a serious appreciation for snacks... congratulations, you`ve found me.Life hasn`t always been easy for me. I arrived at the shelter very skinny through no fault of my own, so these days I`m making up for lost meals with great enthusiasm. Treats? Yes. Dinner? Absolutely. Breakfast? Even better. Basically, if it fits in my mouth, I`m interested. The good news is I`m also super food motivated, which means I`m eager to learn and already know a few tricks like sit and shake!I`m a pretty easy guy to hang out with. I walk nicely on leash, pay attention to my person, and respond well to your voice and body language. I love being with people and will happily lean in for pets while you tell me what a handsome boy I am. (I already know... but it`s still nice to hear.) Whether we`re heading out for a walk or relaxing together at home, I`m happiest when I`m spending time with my people.Meeting new humans is one of my favourite things. I`m polite, friendly, and always happy to say hello, especially if there are treats involved. I warm up quickly and genuinely enjoy attention and affection, making me an easy companion to have by your side.When it comes to other dogs, I`m a little more particular. I`m comfortable seeing dogs from a distance and can happily walk nearby without any fuss, but close-up introductions can make me feel unsure. I do best with slow, thoughtful introductions to calm, respectful dogs who understand that friendships don`t have to happen on the first date. Give me space, patience, and positive experiences, and I`ll have the best chance to build my confidence.Because food was once hard to come by, I get pretty excited at mealtime. I`m learning that meals are something I can count on now, and my future family will receive guidance from the shelter on setting me up for success while I settle into my new home. I`m also still filling out after arriving underweight, so helping me reach a healthy weight will be one of our first adventures together.I`d probably do well in an apartment as long as I get regular physical exercise and plenty of mental enrichment to keep my clever brain busy. I`m a medium-energy guy with a laid-back side who enjoys both getting out and relaxing afterward. Cats and young children are still a bit of a mystery to me, although I may do well with dog-savvy kids who understand how to respect my space.If you`re looking for a loyal companion who will make you smile every day, happily join you for walks, cuddle up for some well-earned affection, and remind you that every snack is worth celebrating, I think we`d make a pretty great team.Love,Delgado

Hi, I’m Maxi! I’m a big, goofy boy who’s looking for a fresh start after being surrendered through no fault of my own. I can be a little nervous when we first meet, but give me a moment, a tasty treat (freeze-dried beef liver is my favourite!), and some patience, and I’ll warm up nicely. Once I’m comfortable, I’m happy to accept pets, snuggle up for attention, and may even put my paws up to say hello and try to give you a face sniff or two. I know my sit and down, I’m very food motivated, and I’m happy to cooperate for things like having my collar put on, paws handled, or ears and mouth checked. I enjoy attention and treats more than toys, although I’ll happily chase a toy now and then. I can pull a bit on leash and I’m very interested in everything happening around me, so I’ll need someone patient who can help me build my leash skills and confidence. With some positive training, enrichment, and consistency, I’m sure I can become an excellent walking buddy. I’m friendly with people once I’ve had a chance to take them in, and I may give a few little “boofs” when a stranger arrives before deciding they’re actually pretty great. I’ve also met another dog and showed playful, social body language, although I can be quite forward and enthusiastic in my greetings. I’d do best with a friendly, respectful canine companion and a proper introduction. I can live in an apartment as long as I get plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. I am quite the active, busy boy! Cats and small animals aren’t my thing because I’ll want to chase them, so a cat-free home is a must. I can live with dog-savvy, sturdy kids who are comfortable around a big dog who sometimes forgets that his paws are bigger than his manners. I’m a sensitive guy who could really use someone willing to help me build confidence and learn that I don’t have to worry about the world around me. In return, you’ll get a sweet, affectionate, food-loving goofball who really just wants to be your buddy. Could you be my person?
