Meet Maya – Playful, Affectionate, and Full of Personality! Maya is a sweet, friendly pup who has overcome a tough start and is thriving in her foster home—but she’s still searching for her forever family. She’s incredibly affectionate with humans and gets along with all types of dogs when properly introduced, as long as they aren’t dominant. She’s working with a trainer to develop her best manners and is learning to manage her excitement, especially when greeting people. Maya loves chew toys and is full of playful energy. While her foster is teaching her how to use a pool, she currently prefers a bucket—her quirky personality shines through in everything she does! 😅 Maya has recently shown a talent for climbing, even hopping onto an outdoor kitchen counter, which hints that she could be a fantastic candidate for agility classes. She’s best suited for a home with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm and playful hugs. She comes vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. We will cover transport to Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas, and can also arrange out-of-state transport or to Canadian adopters (adoption fee for out-of-state applies). Hi, I’m Delgado! I’m a friendly guy who loves going for walks and spending time with people. There are so many good smells to explore, and I’d love a walking buddy to share them with!I tested positive for heartworms, but 100% of my treatment is covered by the shelter’s medical fund. The shelter team will guide my adopter through the process, and I’ll need a calm home with crate rest and limited activity while I recover.I also still need to be neutered before my adoption can be finalized.For now, I’m looking for someone who will help me heal and give me plenty of love. Would you like a dog that goes with you on your many adventures, helps you at work, goes for a run with you? You need Grimm. This boy is a senior, but he has plenty of energy! He drives us bonkers because he is smart and gets bored easily and wants to be going, going, going. Grimm started off on crate rest because he was completing heart worm treatment, but he's good to go, now, and needs a JOB! Grimm is smart and responds well to training, but needs more work. He's pretty good on his leash. He's a good boy - he gets really excited about everything. He is learning how to take treats and food politely - he gets very excited about food of any kind. He likes to chew and do pup puzzles. I wouldn't recommend small kiddos with him as he may not understand the need to be more gentle with people who need a gentle dog. He's much more rough and tumble. He's also very protective. If he feels someone is a threat he will bark and start nipping and progress to biting if his warnings are ignored.
