Story
Meet Maya – Playful, Affectionate, and Full of Personality! Maya is a sweet, friendly pup who has overcome a tough start and is thriving in her foster home—but she’s still searching for her forever family. She’s incredibly affectionate with humans and gets along with all types of dogs when properly introduced, as long as they aren’t dominant. She’s working with a trainer to develop her best manners and is learning to manage her excitement, especially when greeting people. Maya loves chew toys and is full of playful energy. While her foster is teaching her how to use a pool, she currently prefers a bucket—her quirky personality shines through in everything she does! 😅 Maya has recently shown a talent for climbing, even hopping onto an outdoor kitchen counter, which hints that she could be a fantastic candidate for agility classes. She’s best suited for a home with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm and playful hugs. She comes vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. We will cover transport to Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas, and can also arrange out-of-state transport or to Canadian adopters (adoption fee for out-of-state applies). More info here: https://linktr.ee/pawprintsofhoperescue Maya is full of love, energy, and personality—ready to bring joy and laughter to her perfect forever home!

Story
Polly came to us as a stray with Pocket and was never reclaimed. When she first arrived, she was dealing with a skin infection, but she’s now fully healed and ready to find her forever home! Polly is a very sweet senior girl with a gentle soul. She may be a little unsure of strangers at first, but she warms up quickly and loves soaking up attention. While she might give the occasional soft kiss, she’s happiest simply being close to her people. She can be a bit skittish with fast movements and prefers that her feet not be touched. Polly also doesn’t like being cold and would appreciate a cozy place to curl up. She is generally quiet, though she may bark if she hears someone nearby that she can’t see. Polly takes treats gently, walks nicely on a leash, does well in a crate, and is housebroken. She also rides great in the car, making her a lovely travel companion. Polly does well with other dogs and is very loveable with them. She is great with cats and livestock, making her a wonderful option for a multi-animal home. Polly may have some allergies and may need minor management to keep her feeling her best. This sweet girl is ready to settle into a calm, loving home where she can enjoy comfort, companionship, and plenty of affection. 💕

Story
Pocket came in as a stray alongside Polly and has been a sweetheart since day one. She’s full of happy, bouncy energy and is always excited to meet new people. Pocket walks okay on a leash and does well being crated during kennel cleanings. She hasn’t been officially tested with other dogs, but she hasn’t shown any negative reactions so far. She has no love for cats. Pocket loves to jump up for attention, so a family ready to help her learn some manners would be perfect. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and currently on prevention—ready to head home!

Story
Mary was brought in as a stray and sadly was never reclaimed. She’s a sweet, gentle girl who just needed a few days to settle in and feel comfortable in the shelter environment. Once she warms up, her affectionate nature really shines. Mary walks very nicely on a leash and really enjoys her time outside, soaking up fresh air and exploring her surroundings. She loves getting out to spend time with her people. She’s good with dogs, cats, and strangers, and would do well in a home where she can be part of the action. She is housebroken and crate trained, though she may whine when first placed in a crate. She’s quite vocal about her dislike of kennel life and would much prefer being by your side than behind a door. Mary can be nervous in the car and tends to drool; if she’s eaten recently, she may throw up during rides. She will counter surf if given the chance, and while she loves chew toys, she can destroy softer toys quickly. When it comes to food, Mary is more of a grazer and doesn’t eat much at once. Mary is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is also on heartworm prevention and ready to find a loving home where she can relax, feel secure, and truly belong.
