Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yabba Dabba Doo! I’m Bam Bam, and I was named after the famous Flintstones character because I’m just as full of personality and fun. I’m a lovable bundle of kitty charm with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty of surprises to share. I have a sweet face and a striking target tabby coat that makes me stand out wherever I go. I’m a talented communicator too. I can purr, meow, and chirp when I have something to say. I love being around people and I’m always curious about what you’re doing. I enjoy keeping an eye on household activities and making sure I don’t miss out on anything exciting. When I was younger, I was known for being a little mischief maker, but I’ve grown into quite the gentleman. I’m friendly, easygoing, and I truly enjoy the company of other cats. Having feline friends makes me happy, so I need a home with another cat or a family willing to adopt me with one of my shelter buddies. If a new kitty friend needs a little time to warm up to me, I’m happy to be patient and show them what a great companion I can be. I still have plenty of playful energy and love running around to burn it off. I even enjoy a morning workout on the treadmill! After playtime, I’m happy to spend time with my favorite people, getting pets, and enjoying a nice conversation. I’m not pushy and I’m respectful when other cats want their own space. If you’re looking for a fun loving, curious, and charming cat who will keep you entertained and fill your home with purrs, I’m your guy. Fill out an application for me, Bam Bam, today. I can’t wait to meet you! Estimated Birthdate: 8/26/2023 Likes: Looking for mischief, running around the house, and hanging out with other cats. Dislikes: Being picked up - It's just not my thing! Volunteer Update: When Bam Bam was younger, he was a true mischief maker, but has settled into quite the gentleman.  He not only gets along with everyone, he craves the company of other cats. He is still quite energetic and likes to run off some of that energy every morning on the treadmill. Whenever I visit the shelter, he always comes over and sits by me.  He likes it when I talk to him and loves getting petted. To schedule a meet/greet with this pawsome kitty, we recommend that you complete a Pre-Adoption Application which is available here:   https://www.shelteringhands.org/adoptionapplication. Story
I have 2 8yo Bengal cats. Keni and Nefi. Boy and girl. We recently had a baby and the baby has been dealing with allergies to them and its becoming hard to keep them separated. We thought we might be able to do it at first but the task seems impossible. We think if we can find the right person to give them a home we could part with them. Keni is a chill cat. Hes pretty quiet. he will talk if you talk to him but otherwise is just curious and roams around when hes not sleeping in his bed. Nefi is more active and vocal and loves her cat wheel. She loves to cuddle under the covers and will sleep with you if you let her. Keni is more likely to sleep on top of you than under the covers. I would require a home check and a contract saying you will keep them together and if you need to get rid of them for any reason you reach out to us first and give us first right of refusal. The contract and home check are non negotiable. A bonus if you're close to Dunnellon and we can come by periodically.
