Story
Baxter is a sweet, smart, Bernedoodle. His demeanor is great, and he’s always happy. He’s fantastic on walks, loves to play fetch, loves tennis and soccer balls. We got him 02/2023 -his birthday is 11/9/2022. He is neutered. Baxter’s our first dog after leading the cat life for years. We were excited to bring him home but we’re not the best suited for his needs. He has a lot of anxiety. Baxter hates our cat (adopted in 2016). He tries to pounce, pin, and does chase him. He doesn’t play that well with our two kids (11, 16). Fortunately, he’s all bark, no bite. He doesn’t care for other dogs. We’ve tried fixing things but haven’t the means to obtain appropriate training. We think he would do well where his people are home often and can be the only-doggo. We would advise not to have him with small children. Of course, if you have experience with a high-anxiety pet and can help him transition that would be great. Truly, at the end of the day, we want him to thrive and live his best life.
