Story
Meet Linus, a teenage pup who wants to put in his application to be your dog’s best friend.  Like his Charlie Brown namesake needs his security blanket, our Linus needs his security dog. He would be absolutely lost without another dog in the home, and so we are searching for a forever home with at least one other dog in it. But the more the merrier for Linus. Linus is incredibly enamored with other dogs and completely fearless with them, but he can be shy around new people. He enjoys being petted and likes to sit next to you, but he’s not a lap dog. He would always rather cuddle with his doggy friends.  Linus is well mannered and very smart. Any hint that a treat might be coming his way and he sits down before you even give the command. He loves going for his daily walk and is great on a leash. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. Linus is a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog, various terriers (Staffordshire and Pitbull) and retrievers (Golden and Labrador), as well as some poodle and a few other breeds, according to his breed test. The test predicted his full grown weight could be anywhere from 50 to 80 lbs., but we think he’ll be on the smaller end of that spectrum. He was approximately seven months old as of early October. Linus is a special boy, and we hope someone will give him a chance to blossom in their home. If you’ve ever thought that your dog needs a best friend, Linus would be the perfect companion. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
**Meet Cola** -The Boy With the Bravest Heart and the Brightest Smile Just look at that face- wide, warm eyes full of hope, a tongue-out grin that could light up a room, This is Cola. Hes about 2 years old, and while his story started out tough, his heart has never stopped believing in the goodness of people. Cola is a parvo survivor, a quiet warrior who overcame the odds as a puppy. Hes spent more than a year in the kennels, watching other dogs find their families while he waits for someone to finally choose *him*. But youd never know it from his joyful energy and endless love. He **adores** people; hell lean into you just to be a little closer. Hiking buddy? Hes ready. Long walk at sunset? Hes in. Couch time with belly rubs? His favorite. Cola is a Velcro dog at heart, happiest when hes near the ones he loves. Hes dog-selective and tends to do best with gentle female dogs. But humans? He gives them his whole heartno hesitation, no conditions. Cola isnt just looking for a home. Hes waiting for *his* person. The one who will look into those honey-brown eyes and say, You belong with me. Hes been overlooked long enough. Lets make this the moment his forever finally begins. Cola also had an outing to a assistant living home. He was a hit! **Come meet Cola. Let him show you what resilience, joy, and unconditional love really look like.**   Adoption Fee: $200 - Includes Fixed, Microchipped & Up to Date on Vaccines Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
