Story
Our dear Sadie is ready for a forever home to call her own. She is thought to be around 2 years old. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, has a microchip and overall in great health. She weighs 66 pounds, she needs to gain maybe 10 pounds. Sadie spent her short life in a puppy mill type situation. Sadie is a sweet loving girl. She needs time to trust and move forward. She is timid and shy but that is normal for Berners like Sadie who have spent their lives just having pups. She really does not care for loud male voices, she would do best with more mild manner males. Her forever family should be patient, patient, patient with her. While at the same time work with her to bring her forward a few steps each day. Her adopter will need to teach her all of those pesky house manners. She needs an adopter who will slowly introduce her to the world since it is all new to her. For this reason she is considered a flight risk at this time and requires a yard with 6 ft fencing. Sadie is not a fan of small animals of any shape or type, so no cats, small dogs or any other small animals in the home. She seems to do okay with big dogs. She is currently living with 2 male Berners. She is slowly starting to play with the Berners. She has never lived with small children. Small children will be too much for her to handle. Teenagers should be fine. Once Sadie begins to trust and bond with you, she is a love bug. She will lay with you for hours on the couch for pets. Sadie is a sweet girl who wants to forever home to call her own, one that will work with her and slowly introduce her to the world. We do not transport our Berners. Adopter should plan to travel to Sadie's foster home in Morrisville, PA to pick her up. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you think Sadie just might be the girl for you, please complete our adoption application and submit to: info@bfwrescue.org.

Story
Mabel and Finn 1 1/2 year old great pyrenes looking for a new home. Mabel and Finn family are moving and they will not have the space for these two to roam around on. Finn (Bandit) is a sweet lovable dog who loves to be groomed. He loves being outside  He is timid in the dog park and seems more relaxed with one on one interaction.  he would be happiest on a farm or a large property Mabel (Bella) is the alpha of the two. She is very sweet and affectionate. She loves going on long walks and will cuddle with whomever is willing. She enjoys the outdoors and playing with other dogs. She also is very sensitive and can be an escape artist.  It takes her some time to acclimate to new surroundings. I think she also would be best on a farm or large property bc of her breed   She does require a high secure fence. Both dogs are good with kids of all ages. They are not food aggressive but will growl if another dog (not human) tries to take their food. If you have a large property or are an extremly active family, please fill out an application at rescueridge.com An application is a must.
