Story
Levi is a 6-year-old Bouvier Bernese mix who is looking for a new home! He is extremely smart and sweet, but is also anxious so he requires a calm household. He was rehomed due to the fact that the infant in the home would make him very anxious so we are looking for a home without young children. He has come a long way with his foster family and is ok with children over 6 years old that understand when he shows signs of discomfort and will give him his space. Levi has lived with dogs but to do so, he will need an experienced dog owner. He has never shown any aggression but can snap when scared. Levi loves going on long walks in the woods and keeping his foster parents’ company while they are gardening. He would do best with a large fenced yard, or on a farm; his recall is wonderful but of course needs to be worked in every new situation. He is working on his leash work, as he’s been attacked by dogs in the past, he’s wary of new dogs but he’s getting better with his foster mum’s help! Levi is such a beautiful and sweet boy that’s looking for a patient and loving home that will give him the life he deserves! Levi is a big dog and sits at about 80 pounds, so he needs an owner that understands his size and strength Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things! Levi is vaccinated and sterilized and will come with his medical booklet.
