Story
This puppy is in Tennessee; his Adoption Donation is $350. Meet Cooper, an irresistible six-month-old, 20 lb mini Bernedoodle who is all puppy in the very best way. Full of energy, curiosity, and sweetness, Cooper brings joy wherever he goes. He is playful, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure, whether that means romping through the yard, exploring the outdoors, or happily entertaining himself with a pile of toys. Watching him chase and pounce on his toys is guaranteed to make you smile. Cooper is a smart young pup who already knows how to sit and is well on his way with housetraining, especially when kept on a consistent routine. He does well in his crate, offering a few initial barks before settling down and relaxing. Like many puppies, he loves to chew and explore the world with his mouth, making toys and enrichment activities a must for his happy, growing mind. While Cooper is confident and loving with people and enjoys meeting new friends, he can be a bit unsure of unfamiliar sights and sounds due to limited early exposure. With gentle guidance, patience, and positive experiences, he will continue to build confidence and flourish. His intelligence and eagerness to engage make him an excellent candidate for obedience training, which will help channel his high energy into great manners and fun learning experiences. Cooper would thrive in an active household that enjoys including their dog in daily life. He wants to be part of the family and will do best with people who are home often and ready to give him plenty of exercise, structure, and affection. A canine sibling with matched energy would be great for him. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for his love of running and exploring. Cooper will also need a home with someone who understands poodle grooming needs as his curly coat will need consistent grooming. With the right family willing to invest time and training, Cooper will grow into a wonderful, loyal companion who brings enthusiasm, love, and laughter to every day.  Interested in adopting? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. January 21, 2026, 10:32 am

Story
Mackinaw Have you ever watched the TV show, “The Incredible Dr. Pol”? Well, my foster mom has been binge watching the show and trying to figure out a name for me and since the show is based in Michigan, she came up with my name, which is Mackinaw. It means ‘large turtle’ in the Ojibwa language, one of the Indian tribes in the area. I don’t think I look like a large turtle but whatever…. I am probably a Bernese Mountain Dog mix of some sort, and I am very loveable and sweet. I was found in the middle of the road and my foster mom was concerned that I was thrown from a car because I was not using my left rear leg as well as I was using the right one. But after some crate rest for a week and a visit to the vet to get an exam and some x-rays done, I am happy to say that nothing is broken and I am using my legs like I am supposed to now. Very good news! I will probably be a large medium or a small large size, if that makes sense. About 50-60 pounds or so. But since my breed is based on my handsomely good looks, it is hard to tell how big I will be when I grow up. And my breed is just a guess anyhow, only a DNA test will tell for sure, but I am 100% purebred lover boy. I was born about the third of November of 2025 and am available to go to my forever home!! Adoption fee in Texas is $250. Out of State adoption fee is $550 with transport and fuel surcharge.
