Story
We are very happy to introduce the  Big Dog Lovers to our boy Dexter who is a pure bred Bernese Mountain Dog that is 18 months old and looking for a strong, alpha couple to adopt him.  Dexter is a goofy, happy boy  that is still very much a puppy that never had a proper puppyhood.  Dexter became a rehome boy with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we have helped him learn what fun is all about and taking correction for some impulsive behaviors.  It would be better for all his friends to be up to speed on setting boundaries while being kind and firm.   He is totally housebroken and good on a leash.  This boy is one that enjoys the great outdoors for as much as he can during the day.  His gorgeous thick coat is made for the cold temps of winter and he will find a big water tub or baby pool to sit in during the hot summer months.  He truly loves being outside playing freely with a like minded big dogs. He has been around cats, horses, donkeys and a pig and is very comfortable around each of them. All people and children are his friends and if the children are really young then they might have an occasional accidental knockdown.   He weighs 85 pounds and could still put on a little more weight as he fully matures over the next few years.  Dexter will turn heads and hearts wherever he goes.  He just can’t help it!   If you are interested please be sure to write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com .   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm
