At 6 years old and 80 pounds, Joy is everything people adore about Bernese Mountain Dogs — sweet, gentle, loyal, and just the right amount of goofy. She has that classic “Berner heart” that leans into you for pets, follows you from room to room, and looks at you like you personally invented sunshine. Joy is calm and affectionate, but don’t let that fool you — she absolutely has her silly moments. The famous “Bernese bounce” makes regular appearances, usually when she’s excited to see you or when she remembers she has legs and should use them. She’s wonderful with other dogs and friendly with everyone she meets. Truly, she’s a social butterfly wrapped in 80 pounds of fluff. And let’s talk about her love language: brushing. Spa day? Tanka is a 6-year-old girl who may seem a bit shy at first, but she tends to warm up quickly once she gets to know you. From our volunteer observations, she appears to be laid back and social with other dogs, mostly keeping to herself while allowing greetings when she's ready. Tanka walks well on leash and seems to enjoy a calm environment. She originally was kept to be euthanized in Dallas on February 3. I really tried to save her and give her the best life that she could but unfortunately, my other dog is too hyper for her liking.

Beetle gets called beautiful everywhere we go, and that description fits her perfectly... inside and out! This 5-year-old could not be sweeter to her humans and will see you as her flock. She likes taking long walks and LOVES her back yard (though she shouldn't be left out for long, as she is built for the cold). Don't let her love of walks fool you, she is a huge couch potato and loves lounging around with her humans for a lazy afternoon. She is fully up to date on all veterinary needs and is fully potty trained. She will need a home that is willing to work with her on her separation anxiety and, importantly, a home that does not have other dogs.
