Story
Riley is a 3 y/o neutered female mixed breed. She is very shy at first to strangers, but once she gets to know someone she is an extremely loving pup. She loves to cuddle and would do great with a family that has time to sit down and love on her as much as she does.

Story
Roman is a very happy dog. He has been great with every other dog he has ever met even a dog that didn’t like him. I travel for work with my girlfriend he has been took care of 100% of the time but our camper and portable fence just is not enough room for him. The lack of space to roam has made him have more than a little pent up energy. No matter what we try he won’t stop barking and passer bys (not in an aggressive way more of he wants to meet and play). He also likes to chew up my girlfriends underwear most likely from boredom and pent up energy at night. He is a very loyal and friendly dog. He would make a great home for a loving family with a nice amount of land for him to stretch his legs on.

Story
Mazie is a three-year-old Great Pyrenees, possibly mixed with Golden Retreiver. She is very sweet. I adopted her from a shelter three years ago. We are trying to find her a good home. Work schedule is increasingly difficult, as well as some physical limitations, and we are simply out-dogged. She does great with other dogs. (We have 2 older dogs). She definitely is head of ranch security and will watch over you and your children or pets. She is very chill and likes to mainly watch what’s going on around her. There is quite a bit of floof so daily brushing is a must. 2 walks a day would be great. She walks great on a leash and is kennel trained. If we are not home she is in kennel or outside. Gated yard is a must as Pyrs love to roam if not fenced. She is not little. 84.6 lbs. Free kennel/kennel pad(Kong), heart guard for the year-Dew claws removed.

Ranger is a lovable dog. He is sweet and loves to cuddle. I’ve only had him for a short period of time but I’ve had some unexpected family issues that have caused me to relocate within the next few weeks. Ranger was in foster care and will make a great companion. He is housebroken and knows simple commands like sit, down, and shake.

Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Great Pyrenees Labrador Retriever

Story
Meet Suga', she was dumped here in town in horrific condition, skin and bones, covered in mange, and grumbling and growling at every scary noise and new person trying to help her. Our amazing NB Animal Welfare and Rescue officers got her straight to the vet so she could get started on treatment for demodex mange and the vet helped us outline a feeding routine to help her slowly and steadily gain weight in a safe way. After a long weekend in intensive care at the vet, and 3 weeks of isolation here at the shelter, this week she got her first outing to the play yards and she had a blast feeling the grass between her toes and the sunshine on her face! We think she’s ready for the next leg of her journey – a foster home where she can continue to heal and gain confidence and strength. She is still on medication and regular medicated baths and she is still very nervous about new people and places so she’ll need a quiet foster home with some experience helping dogs come out of their shells. She isn’t spayed yet, so we need to make sure her foster home has secure and high fencing to keep her safe and she can never be left outside unsupervised. She is free of parasites – including heartworms - but will remain on treatment for the (non contagious) demodex mange she is battling. Her foster home needs to be somewhat close as she will need continued regular check ups with our local veterinary clinic here in New Braunfels Texas. We think Suga’ is a Great Pyrenees mix, between 1-2 years old. She’s sitting right at 60 pounds right now, (she was 45 when we found her) and we need to get her out of the shelter and onto her journey to forever! If you are interested in fostering – and fostering with intent to adopt is encouraged – please submit your foster application HERE: https://www.hsnba.org/get-involved/foster/HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

JD came to us as a young puppy. JD is sweet. He likes to run. He is playful and loves to be petted. Unfortunately every place we have moved he has not had big area to run. It is unfortunate we cannot take him to our new place. They do not allow big dogs. He has been a great dog. He has not been around to many other dogs. So I am not sure how he will do. Please adopt our baby and give him a good home. We only have 1 week left

Story
Maple is an amazing three year old anatolian shepherd mix who loves spending time with kids cats and other large dogs. She's very loving house trained (doggy door), regular at dog parks sleeps inside with my daughter. Has an all around easy going personalityI. And is a wonderful dog. She unfortunately has a very strong prey drive which leads her to chasing squirrels. Rabbits and unfortunately small loud dogs that she's not used to being around. She has bit another (small loud) dog when she was out on a walk woth my young daughter, and since there are about a half dozen of them in the surrounding neighborhood, she will need a new home. She has never been aggressive to humans, or our cata or other dogs.
