About Me - I’m a cheerful, affectionate Bichon Frise who loves people with my whole heart. I’m calm, confident, and affectionate I’m gentle, trusting, and very comfortable around humans I’m extremely social and have a bright, happy personality. I love attention and human company—I’ll happily let strangers hug me, pick me up, and rub my belly. I’m not shy at all, and I truly enjoy being around people. I’m great with other dogs, too. I currently live peacefully with more than 10 small- to medium-sized dogs. I like to say hello to new friends, no matter their size, but after a brief greeting, I’m content doing my own thing. At parks, I enjoy running on my own rather than roughhousing—I’m confident and independent, but still very loving. Don't let my age fool you, I have a good amount of energy and I love going on walks and exploring outdoors but once I’m home, I settle down nicely. The couch is my favorite place to relax. I walk well on leash, follow my handler closely, and I’m not afraid of city noises or busy environments. I’m also excellent at getting in and out of the car and never get carsick.
I’m not very interested in toys, but I’m very interested in you. I rarely bark (only sometimes to ask for something), don’t try to escape, and haven’t shown any signs of separation anxiety. I have no aggression, andn no resource guarding toward people or dogs. I haven’t met cats yet, so that part of my story is still unwritten.
My Story - I was taken to a shelter on September 22nd by my family. I know they loved me but for some reason they couldn't keep me but they did teach me how to love. I've been waiting for over two months in a kill shelter while others younger dogs were chosen but finally, on November 8th, I was given my chance to leave the shelter and start fresh in a foster home.
I’ve been waiting patiently for someone to see me for who I am. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your days and rest happily by your side, I’m here—and I can’t wait to meet you.

Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
