Story
We have a transport where we will be personally driving our dogs home leaving on 1/6/26 to NorCal, OR, and WA. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Belle to our trip for the right home! Belle is a gentle, thoughtful little soul with a heart that simply needs the right person to feel safe enough to fully shine. Born on 7/4/24, she weighs 12.5 lbs fully grown, a petite Bichon–Poodle mix with a soft presence and an even softer heart. Belle came from a loving family who adored her deeply, but her world was kept fairly small. Because of that, she can be cautious by nature with people she doesn’t yet know. She isn’t fearful or shut down — she just takes a moment to observe, process, and decide when it feels right to open her heart. Thankfully, that moment doesn’t take long. With a little patience and kindness, Belle blossoms into a joyful, affectionate, sweet girl who loves deeply once she knows she’s safe. Earning her trust is time well spent — her love is sincere, loyal, and incredibly rewarding. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and had a wonderful exam with our veterinarian. Belle did show signs of mild allergies and was given a Cytopoint injection to help relieve those symptoms. She was in heat at the time of her spay, which required longer anesthesia and an in-heat spay increase, and she also received an antibiotic injection to support her recovery. She handled everything beautifully and has done very well moving forward. Belle is house trained and does great following a consistent routine. She goes outside when asked and has thrived on our structured schedule of every 3–4 hours, which we strongly recommend continuing in her next home. She is crate trained and currently sleeps peacefully in her crate at night, though she would likely transition easily to a bed beside her person — or even in bed — as she is happiest being close to those she loves. She is leash trained and truly enjoys her walks, especially trips to the park or playground. Belle is a total people-watcher and will happily sit beside you on a bench, quietly observing the world while you tell her all about it. She loves being present in life and taking it all in — she just needs someone kind and confident to lead the way and show her that the world isn’t as scary as it sometimes feels. Belle is wonderful with other dogs and loves to play. If you have a sweet canine companion for her to join, she would happily step into the role of sister. That said, being the center of attention as a solo pup would suit her just fine too — she wears the title of princess very naturally. She does well at the groomer, though she benefits from a patient, gentle groomer who understands that trust takes time. Grooming tools can feel a bit intimidating until she knows she’s safe, but once she’s all dolled up and back home, she prances, dances, and clearly knows she looks adorable. Belle loves snuggles, gives the sweetest kisses, and is especially motivated by treats — with a clear soft spot for strawberries and watermelon. She also travels beautifully and is great on road trips of any length. Belle is a true companion — one who will grow alongside her person, gaining confidence with encouragement, consistency, and love. She doesn’t need perfection, just someone willing to move at her pace and let her heart bloom. Her Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/belle-1 Belle’s adoption fee covers her spay (including in-heat spay costs), vaccines, microchip and registration, veterinary care, allergy treatment, antibiotic injection, as well as the months of care, training, and grooming she has received while with us.

Courtesy Post: Meet Snow — A Happy, Energetic 4-Year-Old Maltipoo Looking for a Loving Home Please note: Snow is not at the shelter. He is staying with his current owner in Sacramento, CA, and all meet-and-greets will be coordinated directly with the owner. Contact Information If you’re interested in Snow or have questions, please contact his owner directly: Owner: Christine Phone: (916) 410-3514 Email: ce_ce4@aol.com About Snow Breed: Maltipoo Age: 4 years Color: White Gender: Male (not neutered) Vaccines: Not current Location: Sacramento, CA Lived with: No children, cats, or dogs Reason for Rehoming: Housing Snow has been with his owner since he was 8 weeks old and has grown into a joyful, energetic little dog. He is being rehomed due to housing challenges and is looking for a family who can give him stability, love, and plenty of playtime. &#226&#156&#168 Personality & Behavior Very energetic and playful Gets excited with visitors — runs, barks, jumps, and tries to show toys for fetch Friendly and affectionate Barks when scared Potty trained Allows people to take food and toys Has never bitten anyone Snow has not been exposed to children, other dogs, or cats, so slow introductions or a quieter household may be best for him. Ideal Home Snow is happiest indoors with his family and is not used to long periods outdoors or dog parks. He would thrive with a patient, loving adopter who can help him adjust to new experiences and provide daily playtime to match his lively energy. Because he hasn’t been around kids or other animals, an adult-only home or a calm household may be the most comfortable fit. Veterinary Notes Snow has not been seen by a veterinarian and is not current on vaccines. His future family should be prepared to schedule a vet visit, vaccinations, and discuss neutering. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Meet Dany – the Sweet, Loyal Little Companion Looking for Her Forever Home! (This dog is not at the shelter. She is being rehomed by her current owner.) Dany is a 7-year-old female Maltipoo with a soft, curly coat of black fur with white spots and an affectionate, sensitive nature. She has been loved and well-cared for her entire life, and her family is heartbroken to rehome her. Due to a recent move and preparing for a second child, they simply can’t give Dany the time and attention she deserves. Dany is a sweet and friendly girl, especially around children, and she has lived successfully with other dogs. She warms up well to visitors after initially barking to announce new people—she just needs a moment to get comfortable. She is:SpayedUp to date on vaccinesPotty trainedCrate trainedHealthy and vet-cared for Dany does have some typical small-dog behaviors, including resource guarding high-value treats, food, or toys. She has never bitten, but she may growl or show her teeth if approached when she has something special. With proper management and respect for her boundaries, she does very well. In her new home, Dany would thrive with someone who understands her cues, provides structure, and gives her the love and attention she’s used to. She’s a loyal little dog who bonds deeply with her people. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion who enjoys being part of the family, Dany might be the perfect match.
