I’m Rugby, and I’m 9 years old. I’ve lived a pretty quiet life as the only dog of an older lady who loved me very much but could no longer care for me. When I first met my foster brothers, I was reserved and kept to myself. Eventually, I realized it was more fun to join in, and now I enjoy hanging out and playing with them. I get really excited when my foster dad comes home. I jump up and down with the rest of the bunch. I even get excited when he leaves, because that means we all get treats! I’m a little picky with food. Unlike the others who gobble up anything in sight, I know what I like. I’m not really a lap dog, though I might stay there for a little while. I’m a pretty quiet guy and only speak up once in a while. I may be 9, but I still have plenty of love and life to share. **Please note that Rugby needs a small friendly dog already living in the forever home chosen for him. Meet Beau.....a 1 year old Bichon Frise mix with a heart as soft as his fluffy fur. Sweet, curious, and full of love, Beau’s favorite things include cuddling, playing with his toys (often all at once!), and staying close to his people. He’s rarely without a toy in his mouth, proudly showing it off as if to say, “Look what I’ve got!” Beau is potty trained in his foster home, enjoys his daily walks, and rides happily in his cozy Snoozer car seat. Once shy and uncertain, he’s blossomed into a confident, joyful pup who’s eager to learn. He’s picking up new manners every day, comes when called, and listens when asked to settle down. When playtime winds down, Beau is just as content to nap. His sweet morning ritual is inching closer to his foster brother until he’s snuggled right beside him — ready to play the moment his buddy wakes up. Equal parts playful and peaceful, Beau loves both sprinting around the yard and curling up next to you for a snooze. Rudy is a delightful, playful 11‑pound, 5‑year‑old Bichon. He came into rescue because his previous family’s busy schedules meant he was left alone too often. Rudy loves being at the center of activity. He walks beautifully on a leash, so a fenced yard isn’t required. He enjoys children, gets along well with other dogs, and is even comfortable with the cat. Rudy adores being held, loves to play, and happily settles when it’s time to relax. . Because he spent long stretches on his own, his house training is a little inconsistent, but he’s making great progress with re‑training. Rudy is a very sweet dog who prefers constant human companionship and thrives in a home where someone is most of the time. He is currently taking an inexpensive medication (Trazodone) to help manage his anxiety, and with consistent companionship he does wonderfully *Please note Rudy also needs a small friendly dog, already living in the forever home chosen for him, as well as someone home most of the time. I’m Bentley and I’m a little dancer. When I’m excited, I pirouette and leap with joy. I think I’m quite adorable (if I do say so myself). I’m about 6 years old and most likely a Bichon–Maltese mix. I’m a small boy at just 10 pounds—10 pounds of pure love and happiness! I’m a very cheerful pup who loves playing with other dogs in the house. I also adore lap time, though I’ll usually gaze up at you with my best puppy dog eyes, waiting for permission to climb aboard. Works every time. I’m not much of a barker, usually only if the other dogs start first. I eat well and I’m not picky about food. Could I be your new forever dog? Meet Chanel Number 5! Chanel isn't ACTUALLY a spokesman for the perfume brand. She was named when she was first pulled from the shelter. After living on the streets, she was a VERY smelly, matted, sickly mess. Since arriving at her foster home, she has had several baths, nail trims, grooming sessions, antibiotics, a dental procedure and a skin surgery to treat a nasty skin infection, and she smells MUCH better now. Chanel was clearly a beloved pet in living a home once upon a time. She looks for the softest dog beds, she knows how to use stairs, she TRIES to go outside when she needs to go (even if she doesn't always find her way) and actively wants to know where her humans are. We simply don't know how she ended up wandering the streets alone. She IS a senior dog - mostly blind, mostly deaf and slow walking. She is spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm free. The only remaining health issue is her feet - at some point in her journey as a stray, the pads on her back feet tore off. So she wears very cute infant socks to protect them while they heal. She won't need them forever, but she doesn't have as much pain wearing them while they heal. Chanel spends her day alternating between enjoying her long naps and wandering between napping spots. She's slowly learning her way around the house and even the yard. Sometimes, when it's time to go out, we carry her just to save time, but she does try to go out for bathroom duties. When she decides it's time for dinner, and she cannot find her humans, she will bark for them. When she finds them, she wags her tail happily and follows them as well as she can. She definitely feels safe when the humans are home Chanel has had a rough time that she did not deserve - who dumps an elderly house pet? She definitely deserves a kind, safe home with a dog bed for her twilight years. If you can be that home for her, please fill out an application.
