Story
Molly is a sweet and engaging Black and Tan Coonhound who really needs a break. She has been passed around through several homes and most recently was found abandoned at a state park in central Massachusetts. Her history became apparent after the people who dropped her off were located. Molly makes friends with people easily; she's outgoing, affectionate and loving. She's pretty calm, housebroken and crates well. Like all hounds, she likes some time outside for tracking and exploring. She behaved well at the vet and has shown no aggression around food. Molly is approximately 5 years old and is slightly overweight at 70 lbs. In a home environment, she may not do well with other resident dogs. Molly has been through a lot in the last 6 months. It is not unusual for rescue dogs with this history to be anxious and stressed in yet another new place. Molly needs an experienced dog owner and Hound experience would be a plus. She needs structure and patience, time to build trust and confidence, and a gentle and slow introduction to other animals, children and visitors. She may bond strongly to her primary caregiver in a new home environment and everyone, including frequent visitors, should be involved in her care and feeding. Molly has a great personality and will be a fun and loving hound companion in the right home. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Story
Canelo1 Year OldHound Mix Canelo is a big goofy boy who still has lots of puppy energy. He is super silly and fun, but is still learning his doggy manners. Canelo loves to go for walks and meet new people and he even lived with kids in his previous home. Canelo seems to like other dogs and could probably live with other dogs or cats with proper management.
