Story
HI, my name is Clara. I am a Black and Tan Coonhound mix. I am very affectionate and love attention from my people. I will sit beside you and accept pats for hours. I always let you know when I need to go outside to potty and do not have accidents in the house. I love to eat, but sometimes I get ahead of myself and eat too fast. I also am known to "find" food from the counter or your plate if you are not looking. I also LOVE toys, balls, and bones. I destroy stuffies. I am crate trained, but like all good dogs, I'd rather be with my people. I am territorial, so I do not always get along with other dogs. I protect my people and my land. I have not spend time around toddlers or young children so I am best in a house with no kids under twelve. My person recently passed away. He was an Army veteran. He was my everything, but I have learn to love my foster family too. I can not wait to meet you and have you become my forever friend. Clara

This precious girl named Minnie Mae was saved by our rescue on her last day at a rural shelter that was overcrowded. She is in a very temporary foster situation and looking for her own family urgently. Minnie Mae is approximately 2 years old and appears to be a coonhound mix. She is a low rider and very cute! Minnie Mae is active and very happy. She likes to go out for walks and explore in the yard and also likes car rides. She is 100% house trained and has been good with all people she's met. Meet Novy, a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. This charming black-and-tan Coonhound mix is about 1½ years old and as sweet as they come.Novy was found weak and struggling beside a dumpster, suffering from a heavy flea infestation. She was rushed to the vet, where she received immediate care and a flea bath—and through it all, she remained gentle, trusting, and incredibly sweet. Thanks to that care, she has made a beautiful recovery and is now thriving in her foster home.In foster care, Novy has shown herself to be very affectionate and playful. She enjoys spending time with people of all ages and has done wonderfully with both a nine-year-old child and teenagers. With other dogs, she has a very submissive, gentle nature and happily plays with her foster canine siblings during several outdoor play sessions each day.Novy also loves her adventures. She enjoys leash walks and hops right into the car or truck without hesitation. Traveling is a favorite pastime—she’s content riding in the front or back seat, happily watching the world go by.This gorgeous girl is both house-trained and crate-trained, barking to let her foster know when she needs to go outside. When left alone, she settles nicely in her crate with her chew toys.Novy would do well as the only pet or in a home with another dog her size or larger.
