Good with kids, Good with dogs,
Meet Klea! She is an Aries with a birthday of 4/2/24. This energetic pup is a smart, confident and playful pup. She plays well with other dogs and knows "sit". This happy, bouncy girl likes people, has been exposed to children, and ignores the cats in her foster home. She likes to eat and sleep in her crate, settling down at night within a few minutes. Highly food-driven and housebroken, Klea is a goofball. She is growing into her legs and often tripping over herself. She is in the puppy mouthing stage, but listens well to redirection. Her foster mom says she is a good girl and will grow into a big, beautiful dog. Klea would do best in an active home. She would be great with kids who will run around with her in the yard or with an adopter who likes to hike or take long daily walks. Klea has the stamina to be active all day, but will also settle down after exercise. While we can not confirm her specific mix, we believe she may be a hound mix, potentially including black and tan coonhound.  We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available. Our adoption fee is $400 which includes age appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, Rabies), spaying, worming, micro-chipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming and similar dog related products and services are provided  HIGHLIGHTS: Friendly with cats and dogs Great hiking buddy Affectionate Good with children House-broken and crate-trained    July 21, 2024, 4:17 pm

COURTESY LISTINGLooking for a furry friend who embodies the spirit of adventure? Meet Melody, the adorable and spirited Transylvanian Hound (or maybe a Black and Tan Coonhound) looking for her forever home! At 3 years old and 60 lbs, Melody is bursting with energy, intelligence, and love. She's searching for a family who understands hound traits and can provide her with the active and engaging lifestyle she craves. Melody is a clever girl who loves playing games, especially searching for hidden toys. She already knows the command "sit" and will impress you with her obedience. When it's time to unwind, she's happy to relax with her plush toy trying to find the squeaker and keeping herself entertained. Melody is a great companion for outdoor adventures and long walks. She adores being outside and will accompany you on every exploration. While she enjoys her high-energy activities, she can also settle down and cuddle up, ready for some quality time on the couch. Melody has great house manners and is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate, making bedtime a breeze. Car rides are a joy for her, and she'll eagerly join you. Melody is not a fan of cats due to her prey drive and would probably do best as the only pet in her home. She loves children and is friendly with strangers, showing her affectionate nature to everyone she meets. Like most hounds, Melody is strong on the leash. She requires an owner who can handle her strength and provide the guidance she needs. She's ready to bring her zest for life and infectious happiness into your home. Don't miss out on the opportunity to share your adventures with this special hound dog, Miss Melody! Apply to adopt today. This dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for Melody. Please visit to apply.  Interested in adopting? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks.
