A big-hearted couple rescued a sweet stray dog that was VERY pregnant. She had nine puppies! Bubba and Tiger are two that are now looking for their forever homes. Mama will be spayed, cared for, and loved. They look to be Black Mouth Cur mixes and are as sweet and adorable as they look. If you are interested in adopting, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application. Each of our rescues will be COMPLETELY vetted and/or updated, which includes a heartworm test, worming, spay/neutered, vaccines, and micro-chipping. We do all in our power to ensure our rescues are as healthy as possible and live a long, happy life.There is always a chance that an animal we have rescued will have a genetic health issue (since they are rescues there is know way that we can know their family history) or one of our tests falls in that low percentage of false negative category or a they contract a rare disease that we have no way of knowing about or they contract under your care. We cannot guarantee 100% that your pet will live the 15 years we hope for but with all that we do for them, the chances are incredibly strong that they will. Transportation fees, when applicable, vary by distance/expense. Home checks may be conducted. We are asking for adoption donation of $198. On most dogs, a tax-deductible adoption donation of $198 is required upon approved adoption application. (This is a fraction of our vet expenses and you are always welcome to donate more.) HOWEVER, when we rescue a special breed, ridiculously adorable, or unusual color, we ask for a higher donation which helps towards our vet expenses. Meet Willy Nelson, aka Rocky: This young man has had a rocky start in his short life but is turning into a rock-solid dog despite it. Through no apparent fault of his own, Rocky was dumped on the street. He did not have any identification and no one has stepped forward to claim. Someone familiar with the situation claims that they saw his former owners dump him and leave. We are determined to keep that from happening again and would like to help him find a soft permanent place to land forever. This sweet boy has been exposed to young children and other dogs and has interacted with them wonderfully. Rocky has been curious with his foster’s cats but easily redirects with a simple “no”. He has adjusted to a kennel during the day, but prefers to climb in bed to snuggle with the rest of the pack for bed. House training is a work in progress, but Rocky is smart and has been catching on quickly with frequent potty breaks. Since Rocky has been with his foster, they have been working on leash training, and he is learning basic commands. He is a proper, polite gentleman and has naturally great manners. His current foster has a large property and he has had no issues with staying close when off leash. He has shown no possession or food aggression. He is very playful and has lots of energy as he should. Rocky is approximately 7 months old, neutered, heart worm negative, dewormed, up to date on vaccines.
