Sally arrived at Horse Creek on May 22, 2025. She is so darn cute!! She’s cute as a button and has a tender soul that thrives in calm, loving environments. Sally enjoys peaceful walks, cozy corners, and the company of kind humans who understand that trust takes time—and is totally worth it. And here’s her secret: Sally lives for water hose time! The moment she sees that stream of water, she’s trying to catch every splash like it’s her job. It’s the most joyful thing you’ll see all day. If you’re patient, gentle, and looking for a loyal companion who’ll blossom by your side (and maybe help you water the garden), Sally is ready to meet you. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.

Meet our stunning boy, Andy! Andy came into the shelter back in February with his sister, Annie, who finally found her furever home recently so we’re hoping to get the same for Andy. He is only around a 1.5 years old and is just an all around good boy! Andy is dog friendly and enjoys his playtime out in the play yards with some of the others here at the shelter. He has a medium energy level but is such an affectionate sweet boy who deserves to be living his best life in a home with a family of his own instead of continuing to grow up in the shelter life like he’s had to do so far. Meet our beautiful boy, Cosmo! Cosmo came into the shelter back in June 2024 after being found hanging from his tie out on his owners porch. We estimate him to be around a year old! Cosmo is such a good boy who has a medium energy level. He is dog friendly and enjoys his time in the play yard with his friends here at the shelter. Cosmo is a beautiful dog who is also super smart and learns quickly!
