Story
Chester is a handsome young guy who spent several months in a foster home- here’s what we learned:- He was mellow and friendly with kids- He is house trained and well- behaved when left home alone- He loves to sleep on the couch or a soft bed - He loves to play tug o’ war - He’s outgoing, friendly, fun, happy and cuddly Chester is also a day trip and pawjama party favorite: “Chester and I went on a walk around the U of Arizona Campus, then went back to my apartment. He loves getting pets; he’d rather be cuddled than play with toys. Chester stayed close to me at all times.”“Chester did amazing at the park. He is not distracted by ducks, birds, squirrels, other dogs or people. Very mellow guy that loves to be outside. He also does well in the car. Loves walks. He smiles with his whole face, its adorable!”“Chester loved having a bath and loved being combed. He loves treats and listens really well. He is very good at communicating when he needs to go to the bathroom; he waits at the door. He is ready to play at a moments notice but calms down quickly to rest. Loves watching for lizards.”“Chester is food oriented, loves pets, and is easygoing and playful. He will sit for treats and is very quiet and polite. Chester is a very good boy who is deserving of a loving home.”Chester has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet him today!!

Story
This sweet girl has been fostered in a very calm, quiet home where she’s shown herself to be incredibly friendly, social, and affectionate. She’s a true “velcro dog” who loves being near her people and will happily “talk” back when spoken to. She’s curious, engaged, and always eager to interact. She has not been around children or cats while in foster care. She has lived alongside another dog and did wonderfully—she’s very friendly and would love a canine companion who enjoys playing, as she frequently tries to initiate play. On walks, she is non-reactive to people and shows interest in other dogs without lunging or barking, aside from an occasional soft, muffled bark. She appears to be house-trained and does great about pottying as soon as she’s taken outside. Any accidents in the home have been related to separation anxiety rather than a lack of training. When left alone, she does best when crated with durable chew toys only, as she may act out if uncrated or given bedding. That said, she’s comfortable with her crate and will often choose to nap in it on her own when the door is open.At night, she sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom and settles well. She loves rawhides and enjoys playtime most when a person engages with her, though she hasn’t shown much interest in playing with toys independently yet.She could use some additional leash training, but she’s already picking up good habits from walking alongside a well-trained dog. Due to a current injury, her walks have been kept short, but she clearly has the energy and enthusiasm to be more active once healed. Depending on her recovery, she may make a great running or hiking companion.Because of her injury and her affectionate, clingy nature, she may do best in a home without very young children and ideally with another playful dog. With patience, structure, and continued training, she has the potential to be an amazing, loving companion in an active or moderately active home.
