Story
Benji is a 6-year-old medium-sized Black Mouth Cur. He came to us after ending up at a local shelter as a stray, but the shelter was just too stressful for him after a few months. He is a very sweet boy and loves human attention. He is definitely a lap dog and a great snuggler. He is probably dog selective and may do okay with another dog who respects his personal space, but he'd be just as happy as a single dog. He's a great boy who looks to his humans for guidance and direction.

Story
My name is Petey! I am a little over a year old and weigh around 26 lbs. I was found on the street back in November but my foster owners are unable to keep me. I love to be around my owners and look for any chance to curl up next to them—on the floor, on the couch/bed (if they let me), or even on their lap in a chair despite my size. At first I can be a little protective and may bark at strangers, but I warm up pretty quickly when I see they are friendly. I like women and children and tend to bark only at men. I often use my arms for playing with people and other dogs and it can be pretty funny! I like to meet new dogs but can be a little on guard around them initially so please be patient. I have been making more progress learning how to play. However, I will chase after cats and smaller dogs if I get the chance, so I would prefer a household without them. I know how to "sit," "stay," "come here," and "bed." I love car rides and will hop into the car without any hesitation.

Story
Gustav was adopted from Jax Humane in July. They estimated he is about 3 years old. He is a cuddle bug, but also has the energy to go on hikes. He loves the beach and going on walks. The humane society approved him to be around dogs, cats, and children. He is crate trained, and should be in his crate when left unattended. He does have some separation anxiety. His new home should give him tons of affection and love. Gus is a quick learner and trains very fast. He will be rehomed with all of his toys, his hardshell crate and Kong crate mat, bath tools, harness and leash, heartworm meds, and treats and food. Sadly, due to my health issues and my partners busy schedule, we have decided Gus will be better off in a home that can give him much more than we can.
