***Paulie is currently located at our rescue in Georgia and also available for adoption in the New Jersey area. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need tom register or login). Questions about Paulie and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's phone number.*** After Paulie's former owner was arrested, he was left alone hooked to a chain and living on top of a heap of trash. With the aid of the Wheeler Co. Sheriff's Dept, Scott Bennett was able to rescue Paulie from his horrible living conditions. After being released from jail, his former owner made numerous threats against Scott and SoCo Rescue, demanding the return of his dog, but Scott stood his ground and, again with the backing of the sheriff's department, Paulie remained with our rescue. Paulie was found to be heartworm positive and has since been treated for them. Paulie has been such a joy to have at our rescue. He's a very happy, well-socialized dog who loves to run and play. He's gotten along great with other dogs and loves interacting with people. He has a lot of energy and will do very well with an active family and at a home that allows his room to run and play. He's also very affectionate. Despite his harsh and cruel former life, Paulie has grown into such a wonderful dog who simply loves life! Hazel - is so adorable! Her mama is a black mouth cur mix; daddy is a medium size terrier mix. She already had her first set of puppy shots. Once she gets her rabies and spayed she will be ready for her furever home - should be in March 2026. Hazel loves to run and roll & have fun! She is almost all black; fluffy fur with brown highlights; with white under chin and the tips of her paws - quite a looker! Sitting for treats is a given, doing great in potty training - still hates a leash; so a major work in progress if it ever warms up! She will when she hears people walking past a closed door. Has no problem letting strangers petting her.

Meet Milo - available in March 2026. Part of an oops litter of 6. Both his parents are about 27" tall. His fur sparkles in the sun. He is on the quiet side, trying to get attention is hard with like 5 siblings! He is a bit shy, but warms up fast. He just turned 5 mos., waiting to get rabies shot & neutered before he can get adopted. Working on potty training, but the cold weather has made it difficult to continue. Very lovable and enjoys being petted.

Ivey is one of 6 in an oops liter. Her mama is a black mouth curr mix; daddy is a medium sized terrier mix. Ivey is stunning. She is almost all white with copper brown over her beautiful eyes, and on her back. Loves to run and tumble, and bark when playing. Can sit pretty for treats, almost house trained. Working on leash training, but the weather isn't making it possible most days. Loves getting attention - which is hard with 5 siblings also wanting attn. Loves people!
