BARC Welcomes BARNEY to rescue. This poor baby was abandoned and found curled in a ball on the side of the road, quite close to starvation. He has really plumped up and has turned into a really sweet boy. He is sharing his area with some Anatolian Shepherd pups and doing splendedly. He loves to play and frolic all day with his friends. He is very clever and protective of his area. He appears to be possibly a full blooded Black Mouth Cur which is what Ole Yeller was in the Disney Classic, "Ole Yeller". This breed is a hunting class of dog but has the reputation of doing exceptionally well with children and is very protective of youngsters. Barney is fully vetted, microchipped and neutered. GiGi is a cool f’ing dog! I have fostered over 200 dogs in the past seven years and she is the smartest dog I’ve ever met. After teaching her basic commands, we quickly moved onto agility work, scent work, and advanced obedience. She is still young - just over a year old – and has unlimited potential! She’s one of those dogs who you swear understands every word you say and she responds to whatever energy you put out. Loves kids, great in the car, adores playing in water, and is an absolute master at fetch! She is a dominant female, so would be best as either an only dog or with a submissive male playmate. She will chase anything that moves so probably not a good fit for cats. Will exceed expectations for anyone who appreciates a well-trained or working breed dog; she shines when she has a job to do, but is also just fun to play with. Up-to-date on all vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped!

Yoshi is an extremely sweet and intelligent dog. He is quite spirited and would do best in the hands of an experienced single owner or couple who has time for more adventures with him. He was adopted by his current mom and her three young kids. She is a single mother and has full custody, so Yoshi just doesn’t get the interaction he needs to thrive. He is well behaved on leash and in the car, loves to play with other dogs and gets alone well with their cat and the children.
