Hi! I'm Gale! I have beautiful eyes that match my beautiful personality! I love to play and romp around at the rescue with all my new friends since I was brought here to be helped. I would love a home where I can continue to grow and become more comfortable as a dog. This gorgeous girl was dumped in the woods on a side road with a friend and left to fend for themselves and we're not sure how long they were out there. Her male companion was more social than her so he was picked up by a local, but Peeta was terrified of people and had a hard time leaving the woods. It took a volunteer 2 1/2 weeks of multiple visits a day to gain the trust of Peeta, and she was finally able to be saved. Peeta was once a very loved dog based on how she's been toward people and walking on a leash, but has a little anxiety to get over. She is a total sweetheart that has shown absolutely no aggression toward anyone she has met, not even when scared in the woods. She has gotten along with the dogs at the rescue and briefly met cats during an overnight stay with her rescuer, but not long enough to deem "good with cats" so later cat testing will be done. Meet Milo - available in March 2026. Part of an oops litter of 6. Both his parents are about 27" tall. His fur sparkles in the sun. He is on the quiet side, trying to get attention is hard with like 5 siblings! He is a bit shy, but warms up fast. He just turned 5 mos., waiting to get rabies shot & neutered before he can get adopted. Working on potty training, but the cold weather has made it difficult to continue. Very lovable and enjoys being petted.

Hazel - is so adorable! Her mama is a black mouth cur mix; daddy is a medium size terrier mix. She already had her first set of puppy shots. Once she gets her rabies and spayed she will be ready for her furever home - should be in March 2026. Hazel loves to run and roll & have fun! She is almost all black; fluffy fur with brown highlights; with white under chin and the tips of her paws - quite a looker! Sitting for treats is a given, doing great in potty training - still hates a leash; so a major work in progress if it ever warms up! She will when she hears people walking past a closed door. Has no problem letting strangers petting her.

Meet Honey - available in March 2026. Part of an oops litter of 6. Both her parents are about 27" tall. Her fur looks like Suede, with a little bit of white on her chest. Very shy, She just turned 5 mos., waiting to get rabies shot & spayed before she can get adopted. Working on potty training, but the cold weather has stalled her. Very lovable and playful.
