Story
Please contact my foster @ toricockrell@yahoo.comDuse is a petite, gentle, and sweet girl who finds herself at the shelter through no fault of her own. She came in alongside her sister and is looking for a patient and loving home where she can feel safe and confident. This little girl is a bit timid at first, but once she warms up, she becomes a devoted companion who stays close to her people. She is very treat motivated, takes treats gently, and enjoys toys—though she could use a little practice playing ball. Duse is dog friendly and potty trained.Duse recently had a wonderful outing at Freedom Park. She loved exploring and formed a strong connection with her handler. During the outing, she met another dog and made friends quickly, which helped build her confidence. She is perfect on leash, checks in often, and enjoys both long walks and stopping for pets and cuddles along the way. While she was a little nervous in the car, she settled eventually, showing her adaptable nature.Despite her initial shyness, Duse has a spunky, sweet personality that shines when she feels safe and loved. She would thrive in a home where she can continue building confidence, enjoy walks, and receive gentle guidance and affection.Very sweet and chill girl, loves to cuddle up on the couch with her humansLoves to play with other dogs and is gentle with kidsDoes well on walks- doesn’t pull much and likes to check in with her walkerHighly treat motivated, so should be easy to trainAlready potty trained and crate trainedA little nervous in the carBecause she is a little timid, she may do well with another dog to help make her more confident Velcro dog - loves to be near her people

Story
Rufus is almost 2  years old and was previously an outside dog raised with his brother Waylon He is a gorgeous full blooded Bloodhound that had 10 acres to run free, but the owners are moving to a place that was not going to even have a yard to play and run in so they were surrendered to our rescue! Upon initial exam, Rufus and Waylon both had pretty bad upper respiratory infections and it became very clear they needed Entripion surgery to correct it as it can be very painful if left untreated! He went in for surgery on 11/28/2025 and after recovery and a round of Doxycycline, this handsome fella is recovered and would love to be your outside companion!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2026, 7:05 pm

Story
Waylon is a handsome almost 2 years old Bloodhound who was raised on 10 acres of land with his brother Rufus, but due to the family moving to a house without a yard, both boys were surrendered to our rescue upon initial intake exam,  were both found to have severe upper respiratory infections as well as in desperate need of Entropion surgery due to inward curving of both the top and bottom eyelids that had become very painful! He was neutered and had his eye surgery on 12/1 and treated with a round of Doxycycline and is now back to being ridiculously handsome with a full recovery! He loves to play, loves water and will gladly take any attention as well as praise that you can give him! He needs a yard with a fence because he is known to try to escape his nighttime kennel but he’s a good looking fella who needs a home and family of his very own!      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2026, 2:58 pm
