Brody I wish I was a Belgian Malinois! I look in the mirror and see the rugged dark face and good looks of a Belgian! But I am sure that is wishful thinking. I don't know what I am exactly. I mean I know I am a dog, but what kind is kind of a mystery as we were raised by bottle moms because our real mom died when we were only a week old. I didn't even have my eyes open to see what color she was at that age. But you can't really miss what you never really knew, right? My bottle baby foster mom was good and kept our tummies full! But she stopped giving me bottles about 2 weeks ago and then we started with the kibble and soft stuff which is good too! But I kind of miss being held until I fall asleep, so maybe my new forever family would do that for me, even if there isn't a bottle associated with it. I was born on 2.11.24 so that is the day to put on your calendar so we can celebrate it every year along with my Gotcha Day. We can celebrate your birthday too if you want. I like to hang out with my sister Ruby and sometimes will play with Gumby, when he is not exploring his world that is. And we love to play with Alma, the foster mom's dog with long hair. She lets us crawl all over her and pull her tail and everything. And the cat is cool to play with too. So, I am good with whatever kind of pets you have in the house because I love them all! Meet Arizona! This sassy lady has gone from street dog to (mostly) sophisticated, and is looking for a forever home of her own. Ari came to us as a stray who was found roaming a highway on her own. She had teats full of milk, and was showing signs she had given birth in the past 24 hours. Staff members went out to where she was found, and spend hours searching the area with Arizona as their guide, but sadly her lost litter of puppies was never found. Since then, Zona has settled into our little shelter family like she's been here forever. Arizona has the most upbeat and happy outlook, but she does tend to have severe anxiety during storms. She is a black mouth cur mix, born roughly 1/1/23, and she weighs in about 60-65lbs. She is the spunkiest lady, she loves life and loves everything about playing and making friends. She spends lots of time in play groups and socializing with other dogs, and would do great in a home with another pooch. Of course, we do require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She does great with kids too, and is already learning her name, walking well on a leash, and working on her basic obedience.  Arizona is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $175. Meet Tito! Hey, my name is Tito! I am a black mouth cur mix, and I was born somewhere around 8/1/22. I only weigh in at about 44lbs, but I am so tall you won't notice how little I am. I am built to explore, I l love going on walks and sniffing the outdoors! My friends here at the shelter sometimes tease me because sometimes I look at you like you stole my favorite snack, when all I really want is to get some attention. They keep telling me if I always look so worried, my face will stick like that! I think I'm okay with that, because they give me extra love and kisses when I look nervous. Speaking of nervous, have you ever seen a hardwood floor? Those things are wild! I don't like how my paws can't get a grip on them, so you may see me slipping and sliding if you have really slick floors. I also really like other dogs, but I would want to meet one before I commited to living with them. I don't really mind cats, and kids are great, too! Dan is a great boy. We adopted him when he was a baby and he will be 8 in June. He has been our only baby since having children. He loves 2-3 daily walks( one mile per walk is great, sometimes more on weekends), cuddling, playing and routine. He broke his back right leg as a puppy and can get anxious if you bump it or get up to quickly from cuddles, otherwise he still runs and plays in his backyard! Dan also has a crooked tail (in the shape of a 7) which he acquired before we adopted him. Though he is great with children, we feel he was living his best life as an only child. When I am leaving for work he does feel anxious, we have a routine of putting him outside or upstairs upon departure. Ideally someone active and works from home would be best for him. He truly is an amazing guy and we are having a difficult time parting with him. We want to make sure he is gaining so much love from his next family.

Sadly her owner passed away and she is back with Proverbs to find a new forever family. Maybelle is a package deal with her dog sister, Mimi. While not blood relatives, they have been together from the start and are a bonded pair. This sweet girl can play for hours with other dogs, but wants to be near her humans & Mimi. She is a hound mix, so she does let her nose get the best of her. A fully secure fenced in back yard is needed. If she’s not playing, she’s sleeping. This beautiful girl is great with dogs & humans.
