Story
Chaco Lover of Butt Scratches | Rock 'n' Roll Pup | Full-Time Vibe Curator 🐶🎶 Meet Chaco — a four-legged legend with a heart as big as his love for butt scratches. Whether he’s sprawled out in a sunbeam or strutting his stuff on a walk, Chaco brings laid-back charm and tail-wagging energy wherever he goes. His musical tastes lean heavily toward classic rock, and he’s been known to nod along to everything from Led Zeppelin to AC/DC — his internal soundtrack is pure electric. Chaco’s ideal day includes a generous helping of back-end scratches (the key to his soul), a good jam session with some air guitar humans, and a solid nap in a cozy spot he’s claimed as his own. Equal parts mellow and mischief, he’s the kind of pup who’ll rock your world and steal your heart — usually in that order.

Name: Kaylee Ann Age: 3 years Breed: Black Mouth Cur mix Size: 44.3 pounds Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Kaylee Ann! The perfect combination of grace, calm, and a heart full of love! Kaylee Ann is a beautiful 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who arrived at HSSM on November 12th, 2025, after being found as a stray in Biloxi by animal control. Since her arrival, she has completely stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers alike with her gentle soul, calm nature, and wonderfully well-rounded manners. Kaylee walks on her leash like an absolute lady—graceful, confident, and just a touch sassy with every step. Her calm, cool demeanor makes her a fantastic family dog, especially for those looking for a companion who brings peace and warmth into the home. She loves spending time in the yard soaking up sunshine and fresh air, and she’s happiest when she’s close to her people. Bonus: her kisses are truly top tier. While Kaylee Ann enjoys companionship, she’s also content entertaining herself when needed, making her a great match for households with busy days but loving evenings. She would thrive in a calmer home where she can relax with her favorite humans, though she’s always up for the occasional new adventure. Kaylee is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. She has tested positive for heartworms, but with the proper treatment she can live out her life happy and healthy. If you’re searching for a loyal, loving companion with a peaceful presence and a heart of gold, Kaylee Ann may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Kaylee Ann's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN.
