Story
Priority Rehoming Bodie is a loyal “velcro dog” who loves being close to his person and thrives in a calm, predictable home. This intelligent Bloodhound/Heeler mix (50+ lbs) is incredibly devoted and wants nothing more than companionship. Bodie has a controlled seizure disorder and occasional neurological disorientation, so he needs a physically steady, experienced caregiver and a quiet, low-stimulation home. He is stable on medication and does best with a consistent routine. He’s a wonderful dog in a complicated body and deserves a safe, loving environment where his needs can be supported. This is an incredibly difficult decision made out of love, with the hope of finding Bodie the best possible forever home. Medical records are available if needed. I am also willing to pay for neuter. If you think you could give Bodie the calm, supportive home he deserves, please reach out.

Story
Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Ivana, 631-681-0320, ivana.s.aigle@gmail.com:   MEET BODIE BOIGUE!! Bodie (or Boy) is a devoted "Velcro" dog who thrives on companionship and a calm routine. His world revolves around his home and his people. He is intelligent and wants to please, but his brain occasionally "misfires" due to his seizures. Bodie is on a strict medication schedule and must be maintained to prevent breakthrough episodes. This includes: Gabapentin, Sertraline and Keppra. His seizures are infrequent. However, the post-seizure phase involves significant disorientation. Bodie requires a strong handler who can remain physically steady and calm if he becomes disoriented or has a bad anxiety attack.  Bodie needs a quiet, low-traffic home to keep his neurological system at baseline. He needs someone who understands that his "unpredictability" is medical, and not just behavioral, and can provide a "safe landing" during his episodes where his medical needs can be managed without putting his owner at risk. In a physically capable, quiet environment, he will be a deeply loyal and loving partner. His owner is physically unable to care for him in the manner required and is heartbroken to part with him.
