Story
Early is a purebred Walker Hound, and a very spirited animal. He is more of a dog's dog rather than a people dog. He is every dog's best friend at the dog park, but not very affectionate with people. He is not a cuddly dog by any means. He was either abandoned or lost as a young dog and spent some time feral. We believe that he was a hunting dog that got lost on a hunting trip. He was found and nursed back to health by a young family who could not keep him. We adopted him, and he has lived with us for two years. He is very food possessive, but also motivated by food. He sometimes startles easily and will snap at people if he feels threatened. He is a good watch dog.His best adoption would be to an experienced dog person with a large yard or small farm, with other dogs his size to play and run with. He needs lots of room to run and be free. I would not recommend him for young children. He is not be a good hunting dog.We want him to have the best possible home. Contact us for more info.
