Story
This sweetie is Jesse. She currently weighs around 68 pounds and is 4 years old. Jess is looking for a family that likes Bloodhound mixes. Jesse has not had the best life thus far. She quickly learned in her foster home that she is loved, safe, and will be fed and well taken care of. Whether it is due to recovering from her past, being underweight, or just part of her nature, she is very low key. She likes her crate and will self-crate on her own. She is a quiet Bloodhound. She is slowly learning that she can use her voice, too and it is so wonderful. Jesse is doing very well with the other dogs in her foster home and is learning leash manners while at adoption events. Jesse has not been tested around cats or small children. If you are interested in adopting Jesse, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***April 27, 2024, 4:07 pm

Story
This handsome boy is Bibby. Bibby came to us from animal control and has been at our recue for far too long. Bibby has the best personality and will always keep you entertained. Bibby hasn't experienced any stability in his life and can be wary of new people so he just needs a little extra time to get to know you. Once he does he will be the best velcro dog! Bibby is very high energy and would love a family who is just as active. Due to his high energy Bibby would do best in a home with no young children and no other pets.He is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and heartworm tested. If this energetic boy melts your heart, call 803-802-0902 to schedule an appointment to meet this sweet boy! Bibby cannot wait to meet you!• Remember, all family that lives in the household must come to the appointment..If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
Meet TylerI’m Tyler, a beautiful Treeing Walker Coonhound and Boxer mix with a gorgeous smile!I’m about 4 years old, and I came to the Humane Society as a stray. I’m a heartworm warrior who successfully defeated this terrible disease.I’m a good-size boy, around 80 pounds. I love being outdoors on adventures – I’m an enthusiastic trail walker, employing my hound skills to sniff and sniff and sniff all the new smells. I do great on a leash and I’m a well-mannered car rider! I’m also a bit of a gentle giant and would love to curl up on your lap for snuggles.I’m a strong pup and I need a dog-savvy adopter who can help me manage my energy and size. At the rescue I’ve done well with other dogs who match my size and play style.I’m very smart and I learn quickly. A family that wants to continue my training with me would be awesome! I’ve been at the rescue nearly 2 years now and am ready to find my people.I’m up to date on vaccines and preventions, neutered and microchipped.—----------------------* If Tyler wins your heart, call the Humane Society of York County today at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. * Adoption consultations are by appointment only.
