Ginger is a big bundle of fun. If you like hounds, you will love her. No cats should be in her home, she might look for their squeaker. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.February 1, 2026, 12:32 pm

Story
I have had Barley since he was about 1 year old. I rescued him from a shelter and have enjoyed every moment with him. Due to several, unfortunate reasons I am having to let Barley go. He is incredible and the ideal dog for a family with a house. Me letting him go has nothing to do with him but all to do with what life has thrown at me recently. I am sadly no longer able to keep Barley how I would like and how he deserves. If you or anyone you know is able to take this wonderful friend, I would deeply appreciate it. I don’t ask for any adoption fee. Him finding a good, new home has no price tag. Barley Facts: 8 years old Potty trained Good with kids and other dogs Very sweet Has some slight separation anxiety but can adjust Loves walks and treats Thank you!
