Story
Flash is about a year and a half old. We got him from a shelter with his brother, however his brother did not make it due to Parvo. Flash is great on walks (but needs someone strong to hold onto him), great with other dogs, and great with people. He is also a pure love bug and loves to snuggle. He will let you love on him non stop. He can be a bit food aggressive and still has a bit of a biting problem when playing. Loves chasing a ball or playing tug. He knows "bed" (will go to bed and sit), "sit", "down", "up", and "paw"; "come" still needs a little work (bloodhounds are known to be a bit stubborn!).

These pups are in Dallas, Texas too!

Story
Meet Reese! She's a sweet happy girl with a lot of love to give. Reese is good with kids, cats, other dogs, and all people. She loves to play with her giant rope toy and lets out one big 'ruff!' when she needs to go out or is ready to come in. She loves a big dog bed or a nap on the couch. I met Reese on my first day volunteering at the animal shelter. She had been there an entire year sleeping on the cold concrete floor. (She was surrendered by someone who loved her.) Reese is a plot hound. I believe she went unadopted because she looks like a Rottweiler or pit bull. When we met four-year-old Reese, she was skinny and limping. Two years later, she's chubby and happy. When the weather is bad you can tell she hurts a bit, but it doesn't keep her from being happy. (She reminds me of me, lol.) She does have hip issues that are managed with periodic medication. It is heartbreaking that we find ourselves in a position to rehome her due to personal issues, but we are hopeful she will find the forever home she truly deserves. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Reese, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Hi there! My name is Zeus, and I have a tale to tell. I was left tied up and alone outside of TLP Headquarters, but thankfully, the rescue took me in and is helping me learn about love, trust, and manners. I'm a young, very active guy, so my ideal family would be one that loves the great outdoors—hiking, exploring, swimming, and playing fetch. Oh, and I absolutely love balls! I've got to be honest with you—I'm not a fan of my crate. I'm trying to learn that it's my very own "condo," but it's still a work in progress. My trainer says I have a lot of puppy tendencies like jumping (we're working on that), chewing on bones, getting the zoomies, and still need guidance to understand my boundaries. My trainer also says I’m a natural when it comes to exploring my environment with my nose. (Could be the tick hound in me) And that I want my human to guide me and give me direction. This is the way I create a bound and it’s very important to me. I really am a sweet boy that craves human affection and would love to be in a home with other doggos, kiddos, and of course, my adult humans. Together we can have the best happily ever after! Let's make some amazing memories together! Zeus

Story
Gordon is still waiting… Two-year-old Gordon has known what it’s like to be overlooked. He’s watched as other dogs found their forever families while he’s been left behind—through no fault of his own. This gentle, loving Plott Hound mix has so much love to give, but his special needs make him easy to pass by. Gordon has epilepsy, and while it’s manageable with medication, he needs a family willing to see past his condition and love him for the amazing dog he is. Gordon is calm, sweet, and wonderful with other dogs and attends doggie daycare often. He dreams of a home where he can finally feel safe, snuggled up beside someone who won’t give up on him. He doesn’t ask for much—just love, stability, and a family who sees his heart, not just his challenges. He’s been waiting. Hoping. Wondering when it will be his turn. Could you be the one to show Gordon that he’s not forgotten? Contact [Rescue/Shelter Name] to meet Gordon. He’s ready to love you forever.     ##1760794##
