Once I’ve gotten my wiggles out, I turn into a total cuddle champion, ready to melt right into your lap like it’s my favorite place on earth.I’m a certified Velcro dog, happiest when I’m close to my people, soaking up affection and handing out tail wags like freebies. Hello, my name is Hugo, and I`m a bit shy around new people, especially in the kennel here at the shelter. But don`t let that fool you! With just a bit of patience and understanding, I`ll show you that I`m a social boy who loves attention and learning new things.I just want to please my humans, but I do get a bit nervous around too many new people, so a quiet, low-traffic home would be ideal for me. I`m sure I`ll warm up to you in no time, and once I do, I`ll shower you with love and affection.I think it would be best for me to have another friendly dog in the home to show me the ropes and help me build my confidence. I`m a quick learner and love to play, so having a furry friend to romp around with would be fantastic!I may not show well in the kennel, but I promise that with a little patience, I`ll show you what a great companion I can be.
