Meet Parker!The Gentle Soul Still Waiting! Parker is a Plott Hound mix who has been with us since February 2023, after being found abandoned behind our shelter with his siblings. One by one, they were adopted — and now Parker is the last one still waiting for his forever home. Parker is a shy, sensitive boy who’s come a long way since he first arrived. He’s gentle, sweet-natured, and truly wants to connect — he just needs a patient, understanding person to help him feel safe and loved. He would likely thrive in a calmer home with older children or adults who can give him the space and time he needs to build confidence. Parker is believed to get along well with other dogs, and he can be cat tested upon request. He’s spent too much of his life growing up in the shelter, watching his siblings go home — now it’s his turn to be chosen. Come meet Parker and show him what love, safety, and belonging really mean. Meet Dax!Dax spent six years living in an apartment and has carried that easygoing lifestyle with him, making him a very docile and calm companion. He’s a laid-back big fella who enjoys relaxing and being near his people, often stretching out comfortably on the floor—so you’ll need a pretty big stride to step over him when he’s settled in for a nap. Dax is starting to show his age with a touch of gray on his face, but he still has many good years ahead and plenty of love left to give. He would thrive in a peaceful, loving home where he can enjoy comfort, companionship, and the simple joys of life at his own gentle pace.Dax is currently in foster care, so if you’re interested in meeting him, an appointment is required.
