Story
*Meet Parker – The Gentle Soul Still Waiting! Parker is a Plott Hound mix who has been with us since February 2023, after being found abandoned behind our shelter with his siblings. One by one, they were adopted — and now Parker is the last one still waiting for his forever home. Parker is a shy, sensitive boy who’s come a long way since he first arrived. He’s gentle, sweet-natured, and truly wants to connect — he just needs a patient, understanding person to help him feel safe and loved. He would likely thrive in a calmer home with older children or adults who can give him the space and time he needs to build confidence. Parker is believed to get along well with other dogs, and he can be cat tested upon request. He’s spent too much of his life growing up in the shelter, watching his siblings go home — now it’s his turn to be chosen. Come meet Parker and show him what love, safety, and belonging really mean. *To make an appointment to meet Parker, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call. Story
❗️REHOMING – Gorgeous 3 yr old full-blood Plott Hound – Grand Saline, TX area❗️ Name: Indy Age: 3 years old Sex: Male Breed: Purebred Plott Hound (brindle). We are looking for the perfect new home for our boy Indy. Life has gotten crazy busy with work and kids’ activities, and it’s not fair that he’s spending too much time alone or in his kennel. He deserves a family or hunter who can give him the attention, exercise, and job he was born for. About Indy: • Super sweet and loving – wants to be everybody’s best friend • Great with kids of all ages • Good with other dogs and has lived with cats • 100% house-trained • Kennel-trained • Loads nicely in a truck or dog box • Walks well on a leash, rides great in the vehicle • High prey drive (typical Plott – will tree a squirrel in the backyard) but has never been hunted formally – would make someone an awesome hunting partner.

Story
Green is a fun loving pitty mix. She loves to run and play with other siblings. She is more of the settle type. She'll stand back and watch but isn't afraid to get into the mix of things Green is very curious. She is very sweet and does give some of the best hugs, but I am sure as she gets big those might not be as easy. They have been introduced to a number of different types of Dogs as well as different types of cats and she has no problem standing her ground. is a fun loving very playful pup just like her sisters. We've estimated them to be around 20 weeks old. They were dumped on the side of the road with the other siblings. We've been working on basic commands with the five of them. They know kennel. They're not house trained, but they are kennel trained. They get kenneled out night and will hold it and wait till morning to run outside and go to the bathroom.

Story
Blackie is a fun loving pitty mix. She love to run and play with other siblings. Isn't afraid to open those pipes up and let out some pretty loud barks when something isn't right. Blackie is very curious. She's figured out how to get over or under the board we have set up to keep them from bombarding us when we go to open the door. She has also figured out how to scale a 4-foot fence to go and play with the big dogs. They have been introduced to a number of different types of Dogs as well as different types of cats and she has no problem standing her ground. is a fun loving very playful pup just like her sisters. Story
Pink is a fun loving pitty mix. Pink is a very laid-back puppy. She is not one to get right up in the mix of things. She will stand back and watch her siblings take care of business. From a distance she will help let out some barks, but her favorite things are to cuddle up and give hugs and get petted on. She will give a cat a good chase every now and again. We've estimated them to be around 20 weeks old. They were dumped on the side of the road with the other siblings. We've been working on basic commands with the five of them. They know kennel. Story
This sweet, timid girl is looking for her forever home! Betty is 1 yr old, about 45 lbs, fully vetted and current on preventatives, great with big dogs (like obsessed with big dogs) but not good with small dogs, and likely not cats either, crate trained, house trained. Betty came from a sad, neglectful situation (with 9 other siblings and a few adults). Dogs help her come out of her shell. She could be an only dog if her human had plenty of time to spend with her. Two of her sisters are in other foster homes and four have been adopted and are THRIVING! Now it's her turn!

Story
Hi friends, it’s me — Wilma! 🐾 I used to be one of 16 pups who didn’t get enough food or care, but don’t worry, I’m safe now and on my way to being the best doggie version of myself. At first, I wasn’t too sure about people… but now I’ve discovered they give snacks (!!!) and pets, and honestly, that’s pretty awesome. I’m house trained and crate trained! I don’t bark or growl, but every now and then my husky genes kick in and I love to sing you the song of my people 🎶🐺. Don’t worry — it’s more adorable than annoying. Here’s my resume, in case you’re considering inviting me over: • Mixed breed cutie, spayed, and vaccinated ✔️ • Light positive for heartworms (but already being treated — no biggie!) • LOVE other dogs, no matter their size 🐶 • Very treat motivated 🍪 (did I mention treats?) • Sweet, gentle, and learning every day how great love feels 💕 All I need now is a forever home where I can keep healing, snacking, singing, and snuggling. Could that be with you? I promise to bring lots of love (and maybe a few songs) into your life. Love, Wilma 🐾 DOB 7.13.24 Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Wilma is the perfect fit for your family.

Story
Roxy is beautiful young girl that needs a patient foster/adopter with time to spend to earn her trust. She came from an overcrowded backyard, grew up with nine siblings, and was picked on pretty badly by one of the females. She never had any human interaction or affection. She and her sister were removed from the yard together at the age of 8.5 months, vetted and taken to foster homes. They're learning what life, love, belly rubs, toys, rest, food...everything is all about. They've come a long way, but the work isn't finished. Roxy would do best with at least one dog friend to play with, preferably her size, but she LOVES ALL DOGS. She's submissive and licks all over her big foster siblings. She's great with my husband a 8 year old son, no experience with cats, but I believe she'd be fine. She hops around gently with toads in the yard. She also sings and wiggles when she gets excited, like a husky. She's crate and house trained. We haven't tried a leash yet. She's a joy to be around!. ❤️ She is spayed and current on preventatives. Foster to adopt is a great way to see if she's a perfect fit for your family!
