I'm always up for fun activities! Whether it's going for a hike, playing with my toys, or just lounging around in the sunshine, I'm happy as long as I'm with you.   I'm proud to say I'm house trained, and kennel trained, so you won't have to worry about any messes with me around. If you're looking for a mature, trained dog who's ready to be your loyal companion, then I'm your guy!   It's worth noting that I'm a bit of an escape artist. Story
Heyoooo I’m Leo! As you may have noticed, I am a very handsome 4 year old bluetick coonhound, AND I just so happen to be on the hunt for my new home! I came to Fetch not from lack of love, but from being loved so very much that when my former owner knew they could no longer care for me, they wanted me to live the very best life I could. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself. I am very friendly to people of all shapes and sizes. In fact, I used to work as a therapy dog with my former human! I would love to do this again someday with my future human! Or maybe other dog sports like agility? I even used to pull a cart in parades! I love getting out and doing stuff- the sky’s the limit! I also love love LOVE tearing the fluff out of squeaky toys and I don’t mind a good bone either. I don’t always love to share my toys with the other dogs, but I’m working on it! I walk nice on a leash, I’m potty trained, and I am a good boy in my crate too. If we’re talking wishlists, I wouldn’t mind a nice fenced in yard in my forever home too to run, play, and sniff in! Being a hound, I can be talkative and sometimes I like to sing my beautiful hound song- but hey, it’s all out of fun and excitement! One more thing I should mention- way back when I was a young pup before my former owner rescued me, I had an encounter with some not so nice humans. When my former owner rescued me I had shrapnel and pellets in my face and shoulder. One of the pieces was in my nasal canal and I ended up having surgery, where they removed what they could and put in a nasal stint to help me breathe. Because of all this, I breathe loudly and sometimes I have a runny nose but otherwise I am not affected in any way! Overall, I am a happy go lucky, playful dog ready for my next adventure! Of that’s you, apply for Leo today! Apply here: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adopt Name: Leo D.O.B: 9/30/19 Weight: 69 lbs Breed: Bluetick Coonhound Sex: Male Altered: Yes Adoption: 400 Good with Cats: Probably not a good fit for me. Good with Dogs: Yes, I get along well with other dogs. Kids: Yes- maybe old enough to stand their ground against all my excited lovings! Special Requirements: Fenced in yard preferred, but not required if adopter has a different exercise/enrichment plan in place. No apartments please. *Positive reinforcement obedience training is a great way to bond with your new family member.
