"Rocky: The Lovable Deaf Dog with a Big Heart"Hi there, humans! My name is Rocky and I'm an 8-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. Don't let my deafness fool you, I'm just as paw-some as any other dog out there! I may need some special training, but I'm a quick learner and eager to please my humans.I may be petite at just 36 pounds, but my energy level is off the charts! I love hikes, playing at the park, and doing zoomies until I'm all tuckered out. I'm definitely not a couch potato, so I need an active family to keep up with me.I'm an outgoing and friendly boy, always ready to make new friends. I'm a total people-pleaser, so I'll do my best to make you smile and give you all the love and cuddles you need. My black and white spots make me quite the striking pup, if I do say so myself.I'm currently working on learning sign language with the help of the awesome volunteers and staff here, and I'll need a patient and loving family to continue my training. But trust me, I'm worth the extra effort! I'm also potty-trained already, so that's one less thing you need to worry about!I get along well with my furry friends, so a home with another dog would be just fine as long as I can meet them beforehand. I have a quirky and clever personality, and I'll keep you entertained all day long with my playful antics. So what do you say, humans? Major Are you looking for a buddy who is ready for some MAJOR fun this summer? I think I am the guy you have been looking for! I think I just celebrated my first birthday as a bonafide, young Cattle Dog mix. (I am still waiting on my bowtie though).I have some young guy energy but I will happily spend it trying to figure out how to be your forever fella. I think I love all weekend activities, even if I haven't done them yet. Long walks? Hiking and creek stomping? Chill night on a patio? You betcha, those all sound like a dream!Sometimes I am selective about these new dogs around me but I am told I just need some basic training and a steady spot to live. No need to swipe right just swing on by the shelter to see me! They don't know much more about me and where I was before but it doesn't matter, I am ready to start in a whole new world with you!
