Story
Hi there! My name is Macy Gray. I came to Colorado after my puppies were brought to TCRAS from Texas. I am an older sweet girl who needs a loving home with a place for me to laze around. With my age I am not moving as well as I once did. I wouldn't be a dog who would enjoy long walks, but short ones would be nice. If you think I am a perfect fit for your home, please give the shelter a call at 719-686-7707 to schedule an appointment to meet me.

These pups are in Fountain, Colorado too!

Story
Meet Pam. Pam is a super sweet girl that has been with us for over 6 months now. She does good with male dogs though not tested with females. She does have a touch of resource guarding however it is only when she is in her kennel outside of the kennel she is fine. Pam is an all natural fawn and tan girl that is between 1-2 years old. She has all of the energy of a puppy and only about 60lbs. Pam would benefit from obedience classes she does love to jump which she is getting better at not doing but still has a ways to go. She does know sit. Pam does ride well in vehicles. Pam gets along with other doberman's more so than other breeds which we are working on as well. To apply to adopt Pam please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Jolene, Jolene is looking for a foster that would love to add her to their family after she completes heart worm treatment. Jolene will need to make monthly trips to Colorado Springs for treatment and will be officially be able to be homed in May/June when her treatment is completed and she is ready for spay. Jolene is a super sweet girl that loves everyone she meets. She would love a home where she can rest and heal from her current litter and get the treatment she desperately needs for her heart worms. She would be a long term foster with her journey ahead of her. Jolene is good with other dogs and she desperately would love to be able to play with other dogs but currently with her heartworm treatment she can't get overly excited. She has already had her first heart worm injection and will have her next two on April 16th&17th. In May she will have a heart worm test to see if her pesky worms are leaving. As we have hoped with getting the puppies out of her system and getting her heartworm treatment started her heart is doing a lot better. To apply to foster Jolene please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/foster-application To get preapproved for adoption please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Jax, Jax has been returned to rescue because he barked at a neighbor and well we can't really make that up. Jax is a blue & tan boy with natural ears and a tail that is just over 4 years old. He is a super sweet boy and deserves the best life. He is a very smart boy who loves cuddles, is great on a leash, and knows a lot of commands! He's a great running and hiking partner, too! Jax needs to be in a Doberman experienced home with no small children. Jax will need to be in a home that is willing to work with him and learn from the trainer that has been such a gift to this dog. He will also need a new home with a 6 ft fence, as he can clear a 3-4 ft fence if he decided to let himself out on a run. Jax is fully vetted and ready for his new forever home. His last adopters truly did him no favors, we are working on correcting all of those issues as he was put on meds that we have now taken him off of because he was a inconvenience to them and instead of taking trainer advice from our trainer or any trainer they decided drugging him was the best solution which did not help him at all. He is making slow strides in becoming the dog he was when he left our care. Jax is muzzle trained and in high stress environments it would be best for him to wear it in case he gets over stimulated. This boy has had a rough life thus far after running the streets of Mexico to coming here. We are currently accepting applications for Jax at www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming.
