We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Zephyr, also known as Zee, is an 8 year old neutered male Doberman Pinscher weighing in at 75lbs. He iscurrently being fostered in Houston, TX and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Zee is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people of all ages. He has been wonderful with children, neighborhood kids, and even elderly family members, showing a gentle, intuitive nature as if he knows when to be extra careful. Though he can be shy at first, once he warms up his goofy personality shines through—he’ll hop like a bunny when he’s excited, soak up every bit of affection, and happily cuddle up next to you or sleep by your side at night. Zee loves outings with his humans too, whether it’s a car ride, a trip for ice cream, or hanging out with friends—he’s happiest when he’s included and getting attention. Zee has a moderate energy level and is an easy going guy. He enjoys playing tug, fetch (even if he doesn’t always bring the ball back!), and romping around the yard. He’s fully house trained, can be left alone with full run of the house without any issues, and is not destructive. Zee walks on a leash with a harness and is still working on pulling, especially when he spots squirrels, cats, or dogs, but he’s improving with consistency. He is happy to hang out with his bone if his humans are busy! Zee would thrive best as the only pet in the home. He does not do well with other dogs and has a high prey drive with cats, so a single-pet household is ideal. That said, he makes up for it by being incredibly loving, loyal, and people-focused. Some of his cutest quirks include chasing dragonflies like a Disney princess, stealing socks just for attention, and “goosing” you if he feels ignored—he clearly finds it hilarious. He is truly a gentle soul looking for a home where he can be someone’s one and only, and he will return that love tenfold. 🐾 If you are interested in adding Zephyr into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Story
This sweet girl, Lucy, is a Cattle Dog rescued by Piedmont Animal Rescue from Western NC after Hurricane Helene, and her journey is nothing short of inspiring! When she first came into foster care, she was completely shut down and terrified of the world around her. But with love, patience, and the companionship of her foster brothers and sisters, she’s blossoming in ways we couldn’t have imagined thanks to our partners at Elevation K9 Training. Her Amazing Progress: • She plays and seeks out engagement from people she once feared. • She’s building confidence with every new field trip and exposure to the world. • Lucy has learned “heel”, and will trust your guidance while she’s there. • She will go new places with you and hang out on her “place” where she feels safe.  This beautiful girl still has some learning and growing to do, but her progress shows she’s on the path to becoming a wonderful, loyal companion. She’s looking for a forever family that can continue helping her discover how amazing life can be. Could you be the one to show her the love and stability she deserves? Lucy is dog friendly, and would thrive with siblings! She is cat friendly and really likes playing with kittens!! Lucy LOVES the water, and will swim as long as you let her. She is a great hiking companion, and doesn’t mind running short distances with you either. This girl loves to go places. She is nervous in a new environment, but does better with each new exposure to it. She loves to hang out at Coffee republic on “place” and thoroughly enjoys a good pup cup. She would love to be your best loyal companion! Lucy's adoption fee includes a MANDATORY series of training to ensure ongoing success for her and her new humans.  ($1,000 value) ##2194011##

If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Brody – a 5 year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix with the perfect mix of playful energy and easygoing charm. Currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS, Brody is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved. Brody is that rare, wonderful balance of being active enough to enjoy outdoor adventures and mellow enough to fully embrace a lazy day of Netflix and cuddles. Whether he’s chasing a toy in the backyard or melting into your side with his signature tongue-out smile, Brody is the definition of a lovable goofball. He doesn’t mind getting dressed up for holidays or themed events—he’s happy to strut in his rodeo best or festive costume, just as long as he’s doing it with his people. Brody has done best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and tends to prefer a more relaxed playmate. Because of his size and love for running, he may be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs, but he’s also fully content being your one-and-only pup, as long as he has space to stretch his legs and get some zoomies out in the yard. A home with a secure backyard is ideal for him to enjoy some off-leash play. He’s a gentle sweetheart with people—always happy to meet new faces and has done well with the children he’s met. Because of his playful energy, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8–10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody would love nothing more than a buddy to play with, run around the yard, and then wind down with for snuggles. No cats for Brody, please, as he’s not quite sure how to share space with feline friends. When it comes to leash manners, Brody is a total gentleman. He walks calmly on a loose leash, stays close by, and enjoys a good stroll. He’s also fully housebroken and crate trained, and does wonderfully in his crate when left unsupervised, especially since he currently shares a home with other dogs. He loves his plush toys—especially giving their faces a little “customization” with his enthusiastic chomps! Brody is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He thrives in a home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement. His foster mom has put in great work helping him polish his obedience skills, and he’s made huge progress! While he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he’s continued to show how well he can adapt. He would be a great match for someone with experience with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. These dogs are deeply loyal, affectionate, and thrive when they have a purpose—whether that’s going on a hike, learning a new trick, or just being your loyal shadow. Brody doesn’t need a super active lifestyle, but he would love a couple of daily walks, light adventure time, and maybe a fun activity like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes to keep his mind sharp and his bond with you strong. At the end of the day, Brody is a happy, affectionate, low-maintenance boy who’s easy to please. All he wants is a soft bed, a few toys, a cozy home, and someone to love him. He’s come so far during his time in foster care and is more than ready to start his next chapter with a family who sees how truly special he is. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
