Story
Beasley is a beautiful boy and so very smart— he knows “sit, “lay down”, “roll over“, and "wait.” He’s a typical heeler who can be a little too smart for his own good! But this intelligent pup is highly food motivated, so responds well to reinforcement and training. Beasley has lots of energy and loves to play fetch. But, he can also be very cuddly and sweet. Beasley is house trained!  He is good with kids and fine with other dogs. Beasley would do best with a fenced yard and someone who is home more often than not. He would love a home with herding dog experience to help him be the best dog he can be!! Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Absolute sugar, Allen would be a great first dog.Allen is a delightful leggy boi with a super sunny disposition and smile that will brighten any day. He's just about 6 months old (as of mid-July), 30lbs and another "anyone's guess" as far as breeds go. His temperament is the friend-to-all of hunting breeds, he's super devoted and makes excellent eye contact like a herding breed, and he's got those flippy ears that could have come from a pittie, or something else entirely. Whatever his breeds are, he's 100% happy and an absolute joy to live with. Allen is a go anywhere, do anything kinda guy. He loves dogs and kids for sure, he's met cats and seemed to know they were sharp, and he came across a duck who had not gone to the pen when she was asked to, he did her no harm. Allen would love to find a family who likes to take their dog along for beach trips and brewery nights. He loves making friends and while he's not seen much of the world yet, he's looking forward to making memories with his new human(s).  He said to ask if you have a dog. He's kinda hoping you do, but if you don't that'll be fine too. But maybe you have a friend with a dog, he'd like that. Does this humble little sweetheart look like the guy for you? Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an application, he's looking forward to meeting you...and hopefully your dog (he made me put that last bit in).Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. July 23, 2024, 4:31 pm

Story
Referred to by many as a “Handsome Boy,”Cassius is an active and incredibly smart boy, who’s pastimes include: chasing squirrels in the yard, munching on a chew toy, flashing his puppy dog eyes for treats and curling up with his person(s) for a nap. Cash’s energy and desire to please his owner, pair well with his healthy appetite - Food incentives, obedience training and puzzles are a sure way to get this boy tired out. Cassius is playful, sporty and incredibly loyal to his people - the perfect outdoorsy companion for an active family of adults or older children. Those with a fenced in yard, ready to play fetch and be loved by this sweet boy, could be the perfect fit. Cassius has been a blessing to our family, however he would thrive best in a single dog household - a need we ourselves could not meet for him. He is otherwise a happy, healthy, house and crate-trained pup looking for his forever home. If you think Cash could be the one, don’t hesitate to take the next step!
