Story
Cute, smart and playful, Karlo is everything an active owner would want in a puppy. He sleeps soundly through the night. He is a year old. . Karlo is a playful affectionate boy. Being mostly hound and herding dog mix he is energetic and requires lots of activity. Karlo gets along well with people and other dogs. He is house-trained and is working on his basic commands. He is a smiler and will smile and wag his tail when greeting you. Karlo enjoys swimming in the pool. He would do best in a home with a yard to play in and another dog to play with. An alternative would be an owner willing to take him to daycare three or more days per week. Karlo's DNA test revealed he is 50% hound, Coon hound and treeing walker hound, also a few herding breeds were found like Aussie and Border Collie. Because of his hunting hound instincts a home with no cats, chickens or pet birds is a must. His foster takes him to daycare and he does ok with smaller dogs but his play style may be too much for the smallest breeds. He will be a medium to large size dog, around 55 to 60 pounds. No apartment or condo for this active boy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and we run bloodwork on all our dogs. Story
Groot is a very loyal and protective dog. He loves kids but is weary around new adults. He was attacked and bitten by a loose dog that was trying to attack one of his humans. He led the other dog away from his human and came back injured but very triumphantly. He is approximately six years old. We got Groot when he was estimated to be one from the shelter. He is fixed but not up to date on his shots. Groot needs to go to a house with a backyard and a family with energy to play. He is currently in a small apartment when we had to downsize. We love Groot so much, but we just can’t provide the care and space that he deserves. He loves to play with balls and chew on his stuffed toys. He loves carrots, apples, and all meats. He does NOT like bananas. We would love to see Groot go to a loving home with young children who love to run in the backyard.

Panda Bear Hi my name is Panda and I have a lot of love. I’m a very happy boy who loves to play! But watch out for my happy tail:) We have to move into an apartment and he’s just too big to keep. I love him very much and want a good safe home for him. Panda is the baby of my dog Benny. He’s 3 years old and is about 85-95lbs looks like a blue tick healer but is a mixed breed. He is neutered and kennel trained, is also house broken and doesn’t have accidents. He’s always had a backyard so that is ideal. He’s great with my kids but doesn’t get along with cats or most other dogs. I would love to find a home that I could occasionally see him on your schedule (maybe you need him walked or out of town- no charge ever!) he doesn’t bark a lot usually only at people at the door. I found myself lost running the streets when I met this awesome dog named Khaleesi, who guided us to the shelter to get us some help finding new forever homes. I am an extremely shy guy that will be looking for a home that has tons of patience to continue to help me gain confidence and come out of my shell. I'm not one for lots of commotion, as I tend to shut down and run to my safe spaces, but since I came into my foster home, I have made huge strides towards becoming a more out-going guy. I know I will take a while to settle into a new home, but if you saw me in action in my foster home, I have lots of promise. My best-friend/foster brother and I love to run around the backyard together, take walks together, and then relax with our foster-dads while watching movies on the patio. I do have a medical issue that's requires me to take an enzyme powder with each meal to ensure I absorb all the nutrients in my food. Ever since I started my medication, I got back to my expected weight and have steadily increased my stamina to live a normal life. I am now ready to move on to my new family and earn the security and warmth that comes with it.The highlights... I'm a runner, for fun and when scared. I take a little bit to warm up to new people I am dog selective and seem to prefer smaller dogs. I love hard bones that keep me occupied for hours.My perfect home would include... Someone who understands that I can be selective with the types of dogs I like to interact with. During my stay at the shelter I have been introduced to different types of dogs, and it seems that I am very dog selective. I tend to gravitate towards dogs that are smaller than me, and those who are respectful Patience! I am very shy and still working on coming out of my shell. Experience with medical cases to ease the mind of my shelter friends that my issues are taken seriously. A quieter home free of screaming kids and high energy dogs.
