Story
CARTER Carter is a 3–4-year-old, 77-pound, sweet, snuggly hound boy! By DNA, he is roughly equal parts bluetick, redbone, treeing walker and Plott hounds. Even though he looks and sounds like a bloodhound, he does not have any bloodhound in him and his personality is all coonhound! So, if you love coonhounds, you can get almost all of them in one package with Carter! Carter lives in a foster home with male and female dogs, and gets along well. He is unknown with cats. He does not have the best leash skills. The good news is that he has gone to training for this and has gotten MUCH better at not pulling so much! Carter needs a 30-40 minute walk every day to stay happy and healthy. He loves the water and will take a dip in even a small tub of water! His only issue is with containment. He can climb his foster mom’s 5-foot “no-climb” ranch fencing. He can most likely get over any 5-foot fence. It is unknown if he can climb a 5-foot BLOCK wall. For his safety, he would do best in a home with a 5-6-foot block wall AND 5-6-foot gates. If interested in Carter, his foster mom will discuss fencing options with you. Carter is also a door darter, so he will need to go to a home with older children who know not to leave gates and doors open. He is also jumpy and a bit mouthy, so he can knock down little kiddos. We are looking for a hound-experienced adopter with secure containment, and children 12 or older for our big, sweet hound boy. If you are interested in adopting Carter, please go to our website and fill out an application https://docs.google.com/.../1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36.../edit, and his foster mom will be in touch with you. Carter’s adoption fee is $300.00. Beagle Rescue, SoAZBR is an all-volunteer group. One hundred percent of your donation is used for the care and treatment needy beagles. Your donation is 100% tax deductible, too. We URGENTLY need fosters so we can help save more dogs. If you can help, please contact us. Story
Cute, smart and playful, Karlo is everything an active owner would want in a puppy. He sleeps soundly through the night. He is a year old. . Karlo is a playful affectionate boy. Being mostly hound and herding dog mix he is energetic and requires lots of activity. Karlo gets along well with people and other dogs. He is house-trained and is working on his basic commands. He is a smiler and will smile and wag his tail when greeting you. Karlo enjoys swimming in the pool. He would do best in a home with a yard to play in and another dog to play with. An alternative would be an owner willing to take him to daycare three or more days per week. Karlo's DNA test revealed he is 50% hound, Coon hound and treeing walker hound, also a few herding breeds were found like Aussie and Border Collie. Because of his hunting hound instincts a home with no cats, chickens or pet birds is a must. His foster takes him to daycare and he does ok with smaller dogs but his play style may be too much for the smallest breeds. He will be a medium to large size dog, around 55 to 60 pounds. No apartment or condo for this active boy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and we run bloodwork on all our dogs. If you are interested in meeting him, please fill out an application on our homepage www.luckydogrescue.org or email us at info@luckydogrescue.org Karlo's adoption fee is $450.
