Story
Lola is a sweet, gentle girl with a tender heart. While she is very shy at first, she prefers to avoid things that make her nervous rather than react to them. She'll even gently accept treats from strangers as she builds confidence. Since her early years were spent in a shelter instead of a home, many everyday sights and sounds are still new to her, but her foster has been helping her discover that the world isn't such a scary place. Lola LOVES playing with other dogs (big and small), enjoys her toys, and has plenty of energy for walks and adventures. Lola does wonderfully in the car and will sit calmly in the backseat. She is a wonderful walking companion and walks beautifully on leash without pulling, except if she's startled by a loud or unexpected noise. Because she can become frightened by sudden sounds, she is considered a flight risk and should always be walked on a secure leash and in a properly fitted collar or harness. Lola is crate trained and house trained. Lola has done great with other dogs and would do well with older, respectful children who understand that she'll need space and patience while she learns to trust them. With a kind, patient family, Lola will continue to blossom into the loyal, loving companion she's meant to be. Lola is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to ensure a successful adoption. Story
Meet Cammie! After being one of the longest residents at Manteca Animal Shelter, an amazing foster stepped up and welcomed her to a new temporary home. She is very sweet but has to warm up when first meeting new people. Cammie can be playful with cats but as long as you tell her gentle she mostly knows to be careful. She loves to follow you everywhere and be wherever you are. She is very curious and wants to know what you’re doing or where you’re going. She sleeps right by our bed or in her dog bed. Really tends to gravitate towards women and likes men but takes a little more warming up for men than women. She loves to play and loves to be outside and looking and being curious everywhere. She would do really well with someone who can give her lots of love and play and just a little bit of time and patience to warm up to you. But once she does boy she’s a really awesome dog. Cammie has met dogs and cats. She does well with cats but is timid and shy with new dogs and takes a moment to warm up. Cammie has not met children but is suspected to do fine. Cammie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group and private training to help ensure a successful adoption.
