Hi, I`m Charles William III! Don`t let my fancy name or age of 11 years fool you—I`ve still got plenty of pep in my step! I`m a friendly, 45-pound gentleman who loves hiking, swimming, sniff walks, and making new dog friends. I have not previously lived with cats before. I can be a little unsure of unfamiliar men at first, but I warm up quickly. My previous family says I`m great with little ones, too! I do get anxious when left alone, so I`d love a home with plenty of companionship. I`m happiest lounging on the couch beside my favorite humans. I`m also clever enough to open certain doors (pull down handles), but don`t worry—I`m usually just looking for someone to hang out with! If you`re looking for a fun-loving senior who`s equal parts adventure buddy and couch companion, I`m your guy!

This pup will be available to meet starting on 10/10  Star is an absolute sweetheart who loves everyone he meets! He does wonderfully with other dogs and is a dream inside his kennel. He keeps his space nice and calm, and we believe he may already be potty trained! Star is the kind of lovable, easygoing pup who is always happy to make a new friend. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home.  Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2861360##
