Gomez is still waiting for his forever home! Is it because he’s too cute to handle? Are his expressive eyebrows and curled lip too judgy? Gomez is a sensitive, sweet-hearted pup who just needs a little time, patience, and a steady routine to truly shine. Once he feels safe, he blossoms into a silly, affectionate boy with plenty of personality. Gomez is 9 months old, weighs just over 31 pounds, and is expected to stay a medium-sized dog (under 59 pounds). While we can’t promise his exact breed, we do suspect some bluetick coonhound. Those gorgeous markings, floppy ears, and signature howl give him away! What we can promise is a perfect mix of fun, curiosity, and an irresistibly sweet face. When you come to meet Gomez, you may see him zooming around the yard with his favorite canine pals. He would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog to help show him the world isn’t such a scary place. It’s important to note that Gomez may be a bit reserved towards new humans during a meet-and-greet, but our staff and volunteers will happily tell you: once he opens up, he’s a goofy, playful puppy who loves to let loose when he's ready. To help set everyone up for success, our trainer Jim Kats offers an optional transitional lesson with every adoption, ensuring you and Gomez start your journey together on the right paw. Hi everyone! My name is Gracie and I’m a happy and exuberant girl ready to find her perfect forever home! As you can see from my picture, I have stunningly blue eyes! Those are just the tip of the iceberg to everything I’ve got going for me! I’m such a happy, good girl. My tail never stops wagging and I love to stop and say hi to everyone I meet! I’m active too! I hope my new family will take some time to play with me, whether that’s a long stroll through the neighborhood or park or playing ball in the backyard. I’m a bit of a foodie too, so hopefully I can talk my new family into sharing some snacks! If you have another dog at home, I’d love to do a meet-and-greet here at the Adoption Center before you take my home, just to make sure we can all get along.
