Story
Misty is a rescue that we've had for a year. She's a loving, couch potato dog in our home, with kids, with adults, and gets along fine with our 4 cats. She has however, exhibited aggressive behaviors around other dogs. We've had her placed in formal group training and follow up with the same strategies at home, but she still shows this behavior around dogs that walk up to her unexpectedly. We love her dearly but cannot keep her, due to this behavior. If we return her to the shelter, she'll most likely be euthanized, which is the last thing we want to happen. She'd be awesome on a farm or with someone who has her as the only dog with room to run her energy off. She's highly intelligent and learns commands quickly. She loves her walks and to be rubbed all of the time. She has beautiful brown eyes and a gaze that will steal your heart. This is a very heart-breaking decision for us! Can you help in any way? Case #54103903. Gumbo was born December, 2022. His adopter unfortunately had to have hip surgery after adopting Gumbo so there hadn't been time nor the physical ability to work with him. He's back at the shelter waiting for his second chance at a forever home. He's a sweet boy who needs a little time and training to be the best dog ever. This dog has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and is current with shots according to its age. Adoption fee is $90.00 cash or check only.
